My vote is for the 2010 Boba Fett. I think the new helmet is a much more accurate representation & the cape & detachable jet back is a welcome bonus. The ability to turn the helmet is a big thing to me as the added scene in A New Hope with Boba turning to the screen is pretty epic IMO. But I do have to say that I absolutley love the combo of the Cloud City Boba body and the new helmet and jetpack! That to me is every Lego Star Wars lover's dream!

I voted the 2010 version.

I like the new colour scheme, it's more realistic, and how the helmet is seperate from the backpack.

Also a plus would be that the head isnt black anymore, because the helmet is closed now.

Printed arms and legs would have been sweet though...

What started out as a neck and neck race between Cloud city Boba and the 2010 one now seems to be a one horse race, with the 2010 Boba taking a good lead so far.

I wonder what the demographics are for the choices made - age group, newbie to collecting or old timer, fan of the films or the cartoons, etc...

Also, as I asked in the first post of the thread, I'd really like to know people's thoughts on how valuable these figures will remain. At the moment on Bricklink, CC Boba can't be had for less than £50, whereas the 2010 Boba is comparatively cheap. But he is a new figure, and is available, albeit with ship, from Lego, and will be for the next year or two. Any speculation as to which figure will be the most collectable in the future? 2010 Boba seems to be the favourite on the forum, so far, but can he maintain this popularity till the end? What impact will the new Boba have on the long term collectability of the 2003 version, and what impact on collectors themselves?

I prefer the new Boba. But, I don't think his popularity will impact on the resale value of the Cloud-City version. I think due to it's limited availability Cloud-City Boba will always remain a collectors item. As for whether the new version will ever be as sought after, I think we'll have to wait and see how readily available he becomes; will he appear in more sets, will he be a magnet?

Ultimately there will undoubtedly be a time when the youths of today are raising families of their own and reminiscing about their old toys (20-30 years?), that's when new Boba will become a wanted man once more.

In my opinion, the sand blue in the 2010 Boba just looks out of place, the helmet is too Clone Warsy, and the print does look like an action figure. For me, the old version simply looked like the LEGO we know and love.

The perfect Boba would be the old helmet and Cloud City printing in sand green instead of green, with the separate jetpack and cape from the new Boba, decalled Brickforge vambraces with a string connecting the right vambrace to the backpack, Little Arms Shop EE-3 carbine, the separate helmet with the visor gap filled in with black plastic and a hole drilled for the CW range finder, and a flesh version of the Jango Fett head.

that would be simply amazing :oh:

I always wanted a new Boba with seperate jetpack and helmet and generally more accurate, but actually now that we have it I think prefer the original one. It looks more adorable, with the fat-face helmet and stuff. Leg and arm markings are also quite welcome, so I'd say the Cloud City Boba would be the best - but I'm perfectly happy with my existing Boba.

2003 boba for sure, I never liked the 2010 version of boba because of the 'too realistic' helmet and the sand blue torso isn't right either.

I never owned the 2003 boba but I do have two original bobas. And the first boba had that LEGO charm too them. Gave it a classic feel.

But I can say I will buy the new slave 1 since its at my K-mart. But the price is too much!
