ZORK64 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 "How am I going to stop some big mean Makuta from tearing me a structurally superfluous new behind? The answer: Use a gun. And if that don't work: Use more gun." You know, for a thread talking about projectile weapons, , folks.Anyway, I agree on the Squid Launcher being the worst launchers, as it practically never worked. At all. For favourites, I'm kinda torn. I like most launchers that utilized the Zamor Spheres (except for the one the Piraka used, as it was impractical in various ways), but I'm also a big fan of the Nynrah Ghost Blasters (though the design itself is kinda bleh). And being an old nostalgic geek, I also fondly remember the various launchers which utilize the Slizer discs (even though I sadly missed a few of those out). Quote
Timeline15 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) Functionality wise, Midak skyblasters were the best. It was pretty much impossible to fail to fire them. The Zamor launcher is a more useful piece though, I will acknowledge. and kumquat, is that a pink tridax pod? Edited September 30, 2014 by Timeline15 Quote
InfurnallDragon Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) A horribly generic Inika build, outfitted with every projectile weapon introduced in BIONICLE. Why pick a favorite? Behold! Generack, Daedric Prince of Gimmicks! That is actually very well put together though. Edited September 30, 2014 by InfurnallDragon Quote
mattdev25 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Zamour Sphere Launcher was really cool... Quote
DuckBricks Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 This thread inspired me to create awful things. A horribly generic Inika build, outfitted with every projectile weapon introduced in BIONICLE. Why pick a favorite? For some reason that reminded me of a way better-constructed version of Evo XL's combiner form... Actually though, that is more decent than most generic Inika builds we've gotten. I can see kids going crazy over that! "How am I going to stop some big mean Makuta from tearing me a structurally superfluous new behind? The answer: Use a gun. And if that don't work: Use more gun." You know, for a thread talking about projectile weapons, , folks. Ha! I knew what this was referring even before I clicked the link... and kumquat, is that a pink tridax pod? Seems like a galaxy Squad Bug cocoon... Quote

Somehow I have four Tridax Launchers, and only two pods, so I had to find alternatives. It fits quite well, though it's a bit oblong, and has to be put in a certain way. Frozen Assasin Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Well, not sure. Kanoka are pretty good,as are the Zamor launchers and the Thronraxx (those two pieces of launchers are really good in MOCs). I also like the cannon from Exo-Toa. Quote
DuckBricks Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Found this pic, explains (from the designers) why the Cordak blaster didn't work so well and why the Nyhrah blaster was far superior... http://biosector01.com/wiki/index.php/File:Concept_Art_Nynrah_Ghost_Blaster_Technical_Solution.jpg Quote
Dinobrick Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 In terms of looks, my favorite would have to be the cordak, but in functionality I would have to go with the skyblaster. My least favorite would be the thornax. Quote
YellowCorvette Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 (edited) I disagree with the Midak Skyblaster, Dinobrick. As opposite, my least favorite will be the Midak Skyblaster. The range is nice, but the blaster is way too big and very difficult to store it in limited places. Edited September 12, 2015 by ArmstrongYong Quote
YellowCorvette Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 The Zamora sphere launcher. The Zamor sphere launcher is easy to aim, easy to fire, and compact enough to coperate into many MOCs. Quote
VBBN Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 The Zamora sphere launcher, because it's easy to aim, easy to fire and compact enough to coperate into many MOCs. Did you really need to post that in two separate (and old) threads? And I'll be merging these two threads as they are redundant Quote
Bigger Fish Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I thought that the ammo for the Squid launchers was adorable! I just wish the blue and green ones in the ammo packs had more significance. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 i personally dislike the air launchers, as they are often really unreliable. My favorites would be a tie between the Zamor Launchers and the Midak Sky Blasters. But, I think the zamor launchers win out because there are so many ways to add on to them, and they can be motorized as well. Quote
Mutant Orc Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I thought that the ammo for the Squid launchers was adorable! I just wish the blue and green ones in the ammo packs had more significance. I liked the Squid guns and especially the ammo too! maybe that's cause they were about the same time I was getting into buying Bionicle sets properly so I might have a pair of nostalgia goggles on hahah Quote
The Outsider Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 My favorite would probably be either the Kanoka Disks, the Midak Skyblasters or the Thornax Launchers: they launched well, and the ammo stayed in place no matter what position the launcher was in. I also enjoyed the Rhotuka Spinners, but not as much as the above. The Tridax Pods, the Cordak Blasters and the Nynrah Ghost Blasters were kinda meh; I didn't like them, but I also didn't hate them. They just happened. Now my least favorites would be the Squid Launchers and the Zamor Launchers. The first ones never fired right (which is a shame because the idea was kinda neat), and the Zamor spheres fell off the Launcher if it wasn't in the right position. Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) I only own the Kanoki, Rohtuka, Zamor and Squid Launchers since I stopped buying Bionicle up until 2015 (although I was tempted to buy the regular sized Mata Nui in 2009). Of the four Zamor is my favorite, and Kanoki is a second due to their range and accuracy. As a kid Rohtuka was fun but I hated the accuracy issues. Squid lancher was hands down the worst of the four, since I always feared I would snap the Squid into two... The new stud Launchers aren't that bad either. Fulcrumfan91 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Kanoka Discs...I love the new stud shooters...but boy they're a pain to find again Quote
mysteriouspi Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 This topic refuses to die, huh. Zamor all the way for me. It always worked, shot far, and the magazine could be extended indefinitely. However, the stud shooters are a close second. Very effective, very small, very cool. Quote
CaptainSerMig Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Nice question... I really enjoy Midaks, Zamor Launchers and Kanoka Launchers; but I think Thornax launchers are probably the best Quote
Aanchir Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Wow, this is an old topic. My answer has definitely changed since I responded to this question back in 2010! The six-barrel stud shooter from the Bionicle G2 sets definitely takes the cake, what with its versatile (and customizable) ammo, its effectiveness at firing compared to stuff like the Cordak Blaster and Squid Launcher, and its compact size and basic connection points which make it easy to integrate into custom weapons or use for things besides weapons. Quote
Lego David Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 The Midak Skyblaster. It looks cool, it shoots very effectively, it can be loaded with up to 4 zamors, and it reloads automatically after each shot. Quote
Ransom Fern Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 The Cordak blasters are the coolest things in the world. It's sorta been out done by the much more compact stud shooters but I never feel like I can aim reliably with those Quote
