Zane Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Hey, Well, the second series starts tomorrow, and I know MattZitron and I are 'pumped' as they say. Comment on episodes and discuss stuff to do with DW here. And here's a good site which MattZitron showed us in the Christmas Invasion topic. I got the new RadioTimes today, with episode listings and a pull-out cover featuring characters from this series. I'm hoping to get some of the new figures. And yes, I'm still hunting for that RC Dalek. ~Tilius~ Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Holy *&^% I forgot X-O Thanks for reminding me, I would have hated myself if I'd have missed it. Quote
jonfett Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 I will probably watch it, but I don't think David Tennant will be as good as Christopher Ecleston. From the trailer the new effects look good, but I doubt the stories or acting will beat the last series. Jon. Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Just finished watching it like 2 minutes ago. I agree with Jon's speculation here though, David, while good, just can't beat Christopher, he doesn't do serious aswell. The effects were good and I love the cat doctors (being a cat owner ;) ) but the acting while they were supposedly Cassandra got annoying. Still I ejoyed it. *sweet* Quote
Zane Posted April 15, 2006 Author Posted April 15, 2006 Hehe, funny episode. Very good, liked it. Though perhaps Cassandra coulda possessed her old self, and just carried on through a loop forever. ~Tilius~ Quote
jonfett Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Hehe, funny episode. Very good, liked it. Though perhaps Cassandra coulda possessed her old self, and just carried on through a loop forever. That's what I thought, but it probably would have killed her or her memory. It was an ok episode, the effects were ok but the storyline was just lacking some of the last series. I agree with Sarg in that the acting wasnt great, in fact really annoying! Next weeks episode doesnt look that brilliant.. I just want the cybermen! Jon. Quote
Andrex Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 lol I agree it sorta lacked the magic, but never mind, I'm sure we'll get into the swing by the end of next episode. Also you are right, I cannot wait, FOUR Cybermen episodes, it is gonna be great :D. Finally, something to look forward to on a Saturday evening. Moisturise me moisturise me. Quote
languages Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I thought the episode was ok, but David Tennant is lacking something... Maybe I will grow to like him as the series goes on... Bring on the Cybermen! Quote
mutant piraka Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 thumbs up if scary *y* bring on the werewolves(oh,and the cybermen)( *sweet* ) Quote
JoeMI6 Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 I saw bits of the episode, and it looks good. I think David Tennant is a brilliant actor (if you haven't seen him in Casanova, check it out) but he cannot act seriously too well. But I look forward to seeing how he develops the character. Quote
MattZitron Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Loved it loved it loved it. And I know its only gonna get better. Quote
Andrex Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Cassandra was certainly a hilarious character, what with all the possessing she managed to pull off :-D. It was great to see her back, and aww as always she saw the light at the end. Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Next episode starts in just over quarter of an hour. Somethign about a werewolf I gather. I'll be sure to post my thoughts on the episode here after ;-) Quote
JoeMI6 Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 I'm watching the second episode, it's looking very good, David Tennant is definetly shaping up to be a good doctor. Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 I finally came to accept Tennant in this weeks episode, feautring the wonderfully creepy Anthony Head and the bats. I thought the show had finally regained the brilliance seen in last year's series. And K-9. Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 I think I preffered last week's episode, this one seemed to drag on a bit and didn't really focus on the plot as much as I liked, it seemed more devoted to bringing back old characters. Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Me too, which reminds me, it was cringfully obvious that he wasn't going to die at the end, even my mum thought so and she's quite slow ;) Quote
Andrex Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 AFFIRMATIVE! I loved that episode :D great blend of characters tehe, and a lovely set of villains. I am really looking forward to next week, *tick tock tick tock* haha those villains really are like the ones in 'The Clockwise Man', I wonder if they are connected. Ah well, after THAT, CYBERMEN! Gonna be a great series, especially with the apparent return of Captain Jack. I guess this was confirmed by him being said to be in the last two episodes along with Sally, check it out in IMDB.net. UltraPrime Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Best episode of series two sofar (and first not written by RTD - coincidence? You decide). Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Pretty odd episode last night. Prewtty damn odd. The way those robots managed to mimic both Karl Korenen from Hellboy and V from V for Vendetta was... quite something. Still, I look forward to the Cybus Corporation next Saturday. Looks great. Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Last night's episode was the only one to successfully scare me so far 8-| Quote
JoeMI6 Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Last night's epidsode was ok, but i have to admit, that they seem to be struggling to come up with new aliens which aren't just badly computer animated. But i can't wait for the Cybermen to return next week. Quote
Zane Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 That was awesome. Only I'd like to have seen more from the Clocky's, and still don't get why they needed her brain... -Tilius- Quote
Vader Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I did enjoy last nights ep but i have to agree that since the start of the new dr who series that they seem to be lacking new aliens, still the Cybermen eps should be cool. Quote
