Regarding that, that should be based on the new Cars movie coming out most likely next year or so, so it's Duplo, if I'm not wrong Cars 2 is based on him traveling the world, thus the Tokyo stuff and pitstops. Notice the Luigi there?

That's the plan for the movie and sets beginning with 5 are Duplo Cars 2 sets.

Thanks a lot, wasn't aware of that at all. And once in a life we get a Tokyo-set and then it is Duplo and based on a horrid Disney animation? Damn..

Still - fishing boat, marina, little harbour and even a new armored transport! (I am so crossing my fingers for not getting it in the ugly white/blue police style! - Start using some fancy colours for Town, TLC! Dark blue for this transport! And beige, dark beige, dark red for other things!!)

I have great hopes for 2011!

Funny isn't it.....20 years since this came out (1991).......

I wonder what else Lego are thinking about revisiting after such a long time ?

Maybe a theory, in 20 years time your own kids will be building the 2031 harbour set eh ? :sweet:

I'm a conformist! everyone ! :sweet:

"Horrid Disney animation?" Really?? Wow. I'm guessing you've never seen a Pixar movie before. Their films are anything but "horrid."

It will be good news indeed if there is a new harbor comes out next year. I hope it has a container crane with dock, brick-built ship (its small size may make it possible), forklift, pilot boat and many more. I knew such a set will come out since the B-model of this year's 8053 Technic set is a harbor crane

As for the classic 6542 harbor set, I waited almost 20 years to obtain it. It would be great if a new harbor set is released to commemorate 20 years since the launch of the Nautica theme.

After Ferdik's description of the ship in the new Port being smaller than its previous version and from that he didn't mention any additional building and ship included in this set, I bet that the new Port will more look like a re-design of this set:

I must say that 2011 surely will be getting an amazing year for Lego City!

The new police hq looks much better than all the police hqs since the late ninetees, the Space sets are cool and the armoured van and the new nautical sets sounds very promising - I'm esp. looking forward to the marina.

The only thing I wonder about is that there doesn't seem to be any small (10 Euros or less) set in the summer wave (which was normally - apart from the Trains waves - the case):

-Port - depending on its size and its contents 70-100 Euros

-Marina - depending on its size and its contents 40-60 Euros

-Fishing Boat - depending on its size and its contents 20-40 Euros

-Truck With Motor Boat - depending on its size and its contents 20-30 Euros

A civilian car (4 wide but not that small than the Small Car) with roof, with car doors and in a in reality commonly mainly used color (black, blue or grey) would be great and even really needed! But although we're demanding that a car for years now, TLG doesn't want to ahear us. :cry_sad:

even a new armored transport! (I am so crossing my fingers for not getting it in the ugly white/blue police style! - Start using some fancy colours for Town, TLC! Dark blue for this transport! And beige, dark beige, dark red for other things!!)

I totally agree with you, Zzz!

Hopefully TLG gives the armoured van a color scheme different to the police cars. And hopefully they will not include blue lights. A to the police officers different security officer torso is imo a must, too.

What do you think will the set with the armoured van (which I bet will be 30 Euros like 3222, too) include apart from the armoured van itself, a prisoner and a security officer?

5685 5702014734050 Vet January 1, 2011

WHAT?! Are we going to get a real Vet set?! I waited for this while since I had 4!!

Before you get too excited, I think 5685 is the duplo Pet set, according to the leaked catalog.

And it's nothing to get excited about either way, cause it's a Duplo fig, a 2 x 3 Duplo brick (if I recall correctly and yes, those are new), and a bunny.

Alright! Yesterday at a Brickevent I was lucky to get preview of junorized pics of some new city sets.

Harbour

* Lighthouse - with some water and a minifig. Quite small and look marvelous!

*City Harbor - Like the old one but smaller, the freight ship got shorter hull. Looking good.

I was at the same event! Worth to add is that the new modular house comes first in july, there will be an minifig series 5 and the exclusive-winter theme is going to get a new house. There will be an new girl theme in minifig scale and those sets is only going to be sold in Uk and us if i remember right.

A new girls theme only sold in the UK then why can't they do a doctor who line and only sell it here most of the doctor who merchandise sells well in the UK

freeedrik said it would only be sold in the UK and the US--a much wider market than just the UK. As far as Doctor Who goes, I think that has to do with licensing; it probably wouldn't be worth it to pay to acquire the license and then only sell sets in the UK.

Anyway, if this information is correct, it'll be good to see another "girl" line; I wonder if it will be similar to Paradisa in the sense that it can appeal to boys, as well, or if it'll be like Belville (which could appeal to some boys, and certainly the elements do, but overall it's solidly a girl theme)

That's a pity. My daughter would have loved that... and I would be happy too to have more female minifigs.

If that is true, which I really doubt, then I will have a few choice words for LEGO.

Germany and the USA make up the majority of LEGO sales, making sets for 5% of people to buy is a joke.
