prateek Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 (edited) Police officers in light blue dress shirts! Plus, has anyone mentioned the police helicopter? Edited October 1, 2010 by prateek Quote
sens1992 Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Since there is a set with an ATM in it, maybe a bank, supermarket or new service station might be on the cards for the second half release, but we will have to wait until March next year to have any idea what is and isn't comming ! I'm a conformist! everyone ! In which set is the ATM may I ask? Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 In which set is the ATM may I ask? The set with two crooks and two police - with one on a quad bike.......as if you patrol the city streets on a quad.....now on a beach - hell yeah - surfs up ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote

prateek Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Thanks Lightningtiger. I did not see a good quality photo of that set yet but an ATM is great!!!! Don't be so enthusiastic. IMO, the ATM is no good. Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Don't be so enthusiastic. IMO, the ATM is no good. Yep. ATMs are really easy to make with spare pieces. Quote
Zorbas Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 *drool* ! I sincerely hope they re-launch the theme with new nautical sets. I second that! It's my all-time favorite subtheme and some new maritime oriented sets are going to make me very happy. P.S Where's Bobby? Zombies A hairy animal ate my neighbor! Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Don't be so enthusiastic. IMO, the ATM is no good. True it's not the best is it, my ANZ one is better ! I wonder why the crow bar is red not black ? I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Delta 38 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Seems that I'm actually interested in City next year for once. Space is great. The buggy is pretty good because it includes an astronaut. Also, the normal police-themed sets are an improvement, because I can finally get some criminals! The new torsos and pieces are nice. The police dog car can double up as a prisoner transport, too. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) Now that I saw the pdf with all of these new City sets in a much better quality: Small Space Car looks not stunning but a small nice set I bet that there aren't two minifigs - only the spaceman has his helmet behind him Police Boat the exterior design is ok and the additional small boat for the criminal adds more playability otherwise it's imo a shame in how a minimalistis style TLG designs the boats (esp. their interior) in the last years (here: no backwalls to the lower room, absolutely no interior to the lower room) Police Minifigure Collection a civilian minigiure instead of a second criminal would have been better and the dog is useless (we get in three of the new Police sets a dog - that's really too many police dogs) but otherwise it's a great small and not that expensive set in order to get two policemen and a quad the automatic teller looks good (hopefully a sign for a bank set later the year!) The big police car in the Police Station looks great! Btw: Since TLG sadly doesn't release a new Town Plan style exclusive City set in January (but an exclusive HP set), I really hope that we'll at least get something similar to 7641 in summer. Maybe a set with a small gas station, a bank (two-three floors big), a security transport car, a small civilian car, a white or green bicycle, a banker, an Octan worker, a police officer, a criminal, a woman and a boy. What do you think? When do we think we can await a list with the non-exclusive sets for the second half of 2011 City sets? (Pics we surely won't get to see before Christmas.) Mr. Elijah Timms Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Police officers in light blue dress shirts! Yeah, love the new torso-- I only wish it was available in the Police Minifig Collection. It's just more of the same men in black. With all of these cops on the municipal payroll, taxes must be astronomical in Lego City! Quote

But you forgot to say a minimart too, or that could part of the service station.....bread and milk anyone ? Anyway we can all hope and dream eh ? I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote
Antonio Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) It will be cool if they make new service station, becus i missed the old one . Edited October 8, 2010 by Antonio Quote
Zorbas Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 The big police car in the Police Station looks great! I agree with you K-D. It looks nice from what I can see and the glass on the side(s) is a nice touch. On the other hand, I'm still trying to guess what kind of vehicle is that. Is it a dog car, just like the previous police station or a general purpose SUV/van? I believe it's for the K9. Quote
Legoist Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Pretty much nothing interesting to me in City 2011, which is actually a good thing... this way I won't have the desire for any set in particular and I can focus on looking for parts. I should be MOCing more... Quote

But you forgot to say a minimart too, or that could part of the service station.....bread and milk anyone ? I thought that a supermarket could and should be released as a set, too, but seperately since it should be not only that a small set (16x8x), but be set on a big baseplate (32x16) in order to that we can get a decent interior with lots and different things to sell and buy, a cashpoint and outside a small (hut) where the shopping carts are stored. Plus a civilian car and/or a delivery car would be a must to be included in this set. So I could imagine (and wish that) we'll see: June: yacht (30 Euros) July: supermarket (Exclusive) (40-60 Euros) August/September: bank and gas station (50 Euros) ferry with dock (90-100 Euros) beach scene (20-40 Euros) ice vendor (3-20 Euros) October: Winter Candy Shop (Exclusive) (55-60 Euros) What do you think? lightningtiger Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Well 'Klaus' I will agree on the supermarket as an exclusive.....now that would be cool ! To be fair - an IGA would be best, as the name can be found in most countries where they are as too - Lego ! A bank and servo set, that would have to be larger than city corner and have at least one car plus an armoured car delivering money to bank ! I wonder if Lego are reading what we all write here eh ? Keep on ......wishing ! Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Love the ideas, Klaus-- but I'm hoping we get something a little different for next year's WINTER set. I know it's not really TLG's style to mix religion with fun, but if I had my wish I'd still hope for an Old Stone Church, perhaps even complete with a Lego nativity scene outside and in front. Either that or a family home all decked out for the holiday, complete with dad up on a ladder stringing the lights and kids outside sledding or playing in the snow. Quote

Keep on ......wishing ! Well, supposably you're right, lightningtiger. This set would then be bigger than 7641. But even think about that it would depend on how big and detailed TLG would design the buildings. E. g. if they build only a very small gas station (without car wash and without garage) and only a smaller bank (in modern architecture (which means less bricks needed) and only two floors big), it wouldn't be bigger than 7641. But if they designed the gas station like the one of 2007, then I even have huge doubts whether there'll be another building included at all. Love the ideas, Klaus-- but I'm hoping we get something a little different for next year's WINTER set. I know it's not really TLG's style to mix religion with fun, but if I had my wish I'd still hope for an Old Stone Church, perhaps even complete with a Lego nativity scene outside and in front. A town hall would be the way to go, or a Winter dining room! I agree with Mrlegoninja. A church very supposably won't happen. But a town hall looking similar to a church (like the town hall in 10184 which you can easily use as a church, too) is supposably. But I can't imagine TLG to release it as a seperate set since I've got doubts that it would sell enough. Nevertheless perhaps TLG releases a bigger Winter set in 2011 or the years after that which includes two or more buildings. Then a winter town hall could be well included. E. g. a set including a town hall, a candy shop, a frozen fountain and some market stands - that would be ! Either that or a family home all decked out for the holiday, complete with dad up on a ladder stringing the lights and kids outside sledding or playing in the snow. That sounds , too, Mr. Elijah Timms! And supposably this is even more realistic to be released in 2011 than a candy shop (since bakery and candy shop have more similarities than bakery and family home). Klaus-Dieter Posted October 13, 2010 Author Posted October 13, 2010 (edited) I thought once more about a possible gas station and bank: Since a gas station will very supposably be as big as the one released in 2007, there very supposably won't be a (non-exclusive) set including a gas station and a bank. But what about both sets being sold seperately - the gas station as part of the summer sets and the bank as the small exclusive first half of the year set (like this year's 3222)? So we could get the bank as an exclusive set as part of the new Police wave. It could include a small bank (suppoably only two floors big, set on a 16x8 baseplate and in modern architecture), a security transport car, a prisoner, a police officer, a security officer (new torso), a woman and some billets and gold pieces. What do you think? Btw: What do you think about new Farm sets? Do you think that TLG decided to not release any in 2011? I fear so since I bet that if we got some, we would get them in the first half of 2011. And since there was none in the retailer's catalogue it's very unlikely that there'll be some. What like TRU.......which I suspect is latin for you'll pay over the top for Lego. It would increase the value in time if it WASN'T generic, like the old Shell servo's.....they need a new oil company line including green products.....anyway should this talk go else where ? Keep on.....wishing ! Quote
