Oh, now one tiny thing I forgot to say and talk of Belville made me remember....it is NOT Belville, it should be System.

If I can find more out for my other sources I'll let you know.

Brick On !

That's excellent news. When I heard Belville mentioned, I worried for a moment.

What kind of church would that be...?!?!

A church for the Invisible Pink Unicorn (Wikipedia), of course. ;) (Well, wouldn't be invisible then, but that would be somewhat boring...)

Has there been any news regarding the Summer wave sets?

They're coming out in the summer

Seriously though, there isn't much news, since we already have high res pics, and a release date of over 3 months away.

August for Oz.....unless you shop at Kmart for the mid-year toy sale (first week of July) usually means they get the city stuff early !

But we are still waiting for actual releases of 3677 and 10218.....and the wait is almost unbearable ! :cry_sad:

Could anyone tell me what will happen to 7939? Will it still be available or with the 3677 coming it won't be any longer?

I've been told by an informed source that 3677 is intended to replace 7939. So once 3677 starts being produced I doubt 7939 will be made anymore. What I don't know is when 3677 will be released, or how much stock of 7939 is still around. There have been reports of people ordering 7939 and having the order canceled because it couldn't be filled, so I'd guess it is no longer being produced at least in some markets. All this suggests to me that if you wish to buy 7939, you should do it as soon as you can.

On the 7939 front in Oz, I have been told by a dealer that he was able to order more of them.

So I guess Lego might be trying to reduce their stocks of other trains before the release of the 3677. :classic:

I talked with TLG about the Vestas company. They say that there will be some more Vestas sets coming in the next few years. The sets won't be here any time soon though.

What are your thoughts on this?

City is my "favourite" theme but looks like this year there isn't really anything in particular I wanna get. Personally not a fan of the police sets that are out right now, and the 4645 Harbour is the only set that sort of tempts me into wanting to buy it but it'll likely be overpriced (especially for us Canadians). Good thing I suppose so that I can save up for other sets that are out this year in other themes. There's maybe one or 2 from the space themed sets but if I'm able to visit a Lego store in the US later this year, I'll probably pick up the 10213 Shuttle Adventure (which even at the US MSRP feels like a deal compared to the price north of the border) to get my fix of having a space set.

It looks as though the Marina will be available May 10th...Hopefully the entire City Summer sets collection will be released...

Saw that myself... it also hypes the nugget that "Over 20 new sets will be available on May 10th!" Certainly I'm betting the majority of those will be Harbour, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Alien Conquest. Works for me.

Thanks 'grogall' for these pictures.....you always seem to come though eh ?

Interesting designs, I prefer the Lighthouse as a lighthouse, but the hillside house - they all are very nice.....but that truck in the background....yes, that I really like !

Brick On Everyone !

Cheers Grogall, These alternative build do look very peculiar . Although I do miss alternative builds as they always seem to add something extra to the build.

As for the other sets, they look really nice but I wont get them unless they have something really unique (Like lazers ) .

Thanks, CB

Anyone else notice those tan door and window frames?

The lighthouse island set looks particularly cool, especially the alternative model. It reminds me of one of the water rides at Chessington (or was it Thorpe Park?).

Thanks Grogall for those great new pictures! I really like the new Hillside House, it looks so nice and modern. The lighthouse is also vey nice. But shouldn't those pictures be in the "2011 Creator Discussion Thread"?

I love both of these, and due to the inclusion of the minifigs I can see why they fit as much in the City thread as the Creator thread. I'm definitely going to be buying both of these.
