fred67 Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Hey, fred67. I'm just gonna state the obvious here (like you did a few posts earlier), if you dislike the prices - don't buy. I don't like the prices, but I will still buy because I'm an addict, and unlike most people (it seems) I love series 3. But I will still complain when I have something to complain about, but I'll try to keep from going off topic. Quote
Ogre Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Thank you, glad to know that the ones I want (*Samurai/Any female/Rapper/Indian/Baseball player) aren't to hard to find. (At least not the samurai, who I want the most). OT: I'm 19, will I draw looks at a lego store? I've never been to one yet... 19? Dude, worry about 'drawing looks' when you're TWICE that age. LOL! I'm 42 and I spend so much time in the LEGO sections of stores that I start to worry folks will think I'm a pedophile. Quote
AllanSmith Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 (edited) Have appeared today in the Toyworld, Wellington, New Zealand store. Sadly the bottom of the packets have no identifying marks . So it will truly be a lucky dip Edit: They probably do have the marks, just very hard to see Edited December 31, 2010 by AllanSmith Quote

I got the Lego Jan 11 mag, and it had said the minifigures are on the 6-9th of the month? I thought they are out on the first or does the online store have it out first, followed by the Lego stores (it was on page 42). Quote

First there's the challenge of the crib sheet. Now we don't know when they will come out. Prices are the highest right now (although it's 1 buck higher)! Yes, the calendar says they will come out on the 6th, but it also says that the lego catalog will come out on the 10th. I actually got mine's two days ago at the store. Quote

LEgoDad said this : "Usually, the new items are already in the LEGO Store and just waiting till the first of the month to put on the shelves or they might have put some out already. Call your local shop. Looks like some of the NinjaGO sets are already at Target stores in the US and in shops in the UK and Ireland according to BrickSet. On the LEGO Store calendar, looks like they marked January 6th for the Collectable MiniFigs, but usually they'll put 'em out right at the beginning of the month. " Quote

Henchmen4Hire Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Where did you purchase them? Maybe TRU, (3.99 plus tax) Quote
Geki Brick Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 (edited) Maybe TRU, (3.99 plus tax) It was 4.49 plus tax, but I didn't pay all of it in cash :) Edited December 31, 2010 by Geki Brick Quote
Iysk Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 It was 4.49 plus tax, but I didn't pay all of it in cash :) Oh. I plan to get them at the LEgo store, they should be out tomorrow right? for the price for 2.99 each? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Oh. I plan to get them at the LEgo store, they should be out tomorrow right? for the price for 2.99 each? Are they even open tomorrow? Quote
Iysk Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Are they even open tomorrow? I just called. The guy was kind of rude, but I'm guessing from all those voices I heard it's probably busy. Open from 9-7(at least the one I called). I'm kind of concerned since I'm wondering if they had released it early, thus me not getting the figures I wanted... But it's Lego so I'm guessing they wouldn't break the street date. Quote

So I didn't get a chance to ask, but do you think that the Series 3 will be out along with Ninjago tomorrow? I plan to call later when hopefully it's someone else on the phones. Hope to get some good sets for half off but I wouldn't know since it's my first time. Quote

kiwishark Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Couldn't bring myself to forage through the bags , bit the bullet and bought an unopened box for $240NZ. The local Toyworld had them out on the 31st. I've opened 1 row of twenty so far....4 aliens, 3 sumos....not great....1 elf and fisherman - excellent! Have to wait for the rest- the wife wants to open her fair share Quote

AllanSmith Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Has anyone done an analysis of each row showing where they appear, like I have seen for series 1 and 2. The boxes are just appearing on the shelves in NZ so it would enable me to go straight to the ones I want Quote

Geki Brick Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 (edited) Not sure if this applies to everybody, but TRU is having a buy 2 get third free on Legos today. Great way to stock up on figs. I got hasty and got 'em on the 30th of Dec. Spend 1.50 more each for the two I got. Now I know. :D Happy New Year Edited January 1, 2011 by Geki Brick Quote
David Thomsen Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I'm sorry if this has been posted before, it's a hard question to search for, but is there a definite or 'proper' way to put on the hula girl's skirt? The stock picture doesn't have the same skirt, and the instruction says nothing useful, so it seems to be entirely guesswork, but the way the holes are placed makes me think they had a particular method in mind. A lot of the review photos I've seen place the slit at the back corner, but it makes more sense for me to place it at the front corner, which is more in keeping with real slit skirts (just google image search 'slit skirts' for plenty of examples), and doesn't hinder the minifigs movement too much. Ideas? Quote
