---Vertea--- Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Amazing! That head isn't as silly as I originally thought and the armor allowing four arms is fantastic. I think that I might have to swallow my pride and purchase one or two ninjago sets this year Quote
The Crazy One Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I reckon the fortress and the spinner packs will be on my list. I cant miss that Samurai dude! Quote
Delta 38 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Hmm. Seeing as I'm now happy to get multiples (preferably four or five of each type), I will try to get the fortress set. The samurai minifig is nice, particularly considering I haven't got one, as well as the other four-armed skeleton. The images appear stretched on my computer, but I believe there's a bone on top of the samurai's helmet. It appears to be a shorter bone than the other long bones seen as weapons. This is great, but I hope the piece comes more frequently. Personally, I'll be swapping it out for two horns. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 At this point, it seems that the training set with dummy skeletons was a preliminary idea which got scrapped. Shame, since that set looked pretty cool, but the small sets and the one with the Ninja master still don't seem half bad. Quote
jonwil Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Do we know if the skeleton biker will or wont have the black helmet yet? Or will we have to wait until someone actually buys the set? The box art picture posted shows the helmet but other pictures do not... Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I'm really hoping that the game part fails, for $10 a minifigure it should, and that LEGO will then try harder on some more sets. Quote
Delta 38 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I don't think we've seen these in finalised format: Nya Nuckal Apologies if this doesn't work, I'm on my iPod and it's approaching midnight. Quote

Enpaz Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) I've kinda mixed feelings about this line. Some aspects of it are just crazy. Most of the sets are "meh" in my opinion. I do like the Dojo, though, and appreciate that we're getting so much nice new minifig accessory and weapons! Oh, and the ninjas are lovely aswell! How could I forgot them? Zarkan Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) EDIT: See what I mean? Interestingly, the only sets that seem to obviously use the arms in "classic Battle Droid position" are the tops. The reason for this is almost certainly because it allows the weapons to clash together more easily when playing the tie-in game. Oh, now that's more like it! I really wonder why TLC didn't make the skeleton arms like that from the start - as much as I love the zombie skellies from fantasy Castle, they would have been even better with those arms instead of the stiff ones that were included. Brickset still has it listed - set 2519 It's probably just a 'limited edition' style set... kind of the extra surprise set of the line - like the body shop and prisoner transport truck in SP3, or that big headed walker in Exo-Force Oh, now that's more like it! Yeah, but I think the original purpose of those 'stiff' arms was to do a variation on the battle droid arms, so they could hold a weapon correctly. They just got recycled in the Castle skeleton warriors because it was already in production and pretty multi-use. Edited November 26, 2010 by SpiderSpaceman Quote
Baylego Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Nukal looks awesome! I am glad that head is coming in a small set. Quote
Oky Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Nya Wow, Nya looks great in her final version (from what I can make out)! Plus she comes with two black lightsaber handles with golden spear-point blades! If she also has a double sided head with a version of her face without the mouth cover, I'll definitely get her! Quote
Delta 38 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Wow, Nya looks great in her final version (from what I can make out)! Plus she comes with two black lightsaber handles with golden spear-point blades! If she also has a double sided head with a version of her face without the mouth cover, I'll definitely get her! I think there might be an alternate face as when we first saw the minifig she didn't have a mask. Personally, though, I prefer the masked face. I've made a strange decision which I'm probably going to stick to. I'm going to only buy the individual minifig packs, with the exception of the dojo set. I want four of each ninja, and this is the only way I can see to get them. Another reason why I'll be doing this is because I want different katana for each ninja type, for example gold katanas for red ninjas. Thus, one of my major complaints right now is the fact that individual skeletons don't have straight arms. As I'll only be getting one skeleton from an actual set unless I change my mind, I'll have a lot of strange looking skeletons that can't hold weapons straight. Quote

Brickviller Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 For some reason I don't like this theme, maybe because in the early days we never had something like this. It's just not right for soem reason but I can't put my finger on it what it is. Anyway some of the skeleton sets look interesting but I won't buy any. Hope other people can enjoy this theme Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) What Body shop? 5980 Squidman's Pitstop and the other sets I was referring to are 5979 Max Security Transport and 7713 Bridge Walker and White Lightning Edited November 28, 2010 by SpiderSpaceman Quote
