The Crazy One Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 yes the one that i own does not have that misprint. Same. Quote
Sirens-of-Titan Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Oh. In that case, it is probably a very rare occurrence. Maybe the uploader decided to draw attention to it. Still look at it on the positive side; if you want to build a vignette where your ninjas learned to use sniper rifles with laser scopes, well there you go! Quote
Peppermint_M Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Misprints are annoying but also fun. You have a pretty unique figure when you have a misprint. I have one of the old Life on Mars torsos minus the copper printing, looks pretty snazzy all told. Now, my main question here is: Which sets to get? I think I do want all the ninja, but not from spinner packs, However I am not sure about the vehicle sets... Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Now, my main question here is: Which sets to get? I think I do want all the ninja, but not from spinner packs, However I am not sure about the vehicle sets... Does that include the DX figures? If so, get all the dragon sets for DX figures, Fire temple for regular Jay and Zane, Ninja ambush for regular Kai, and Training outpost for regular Cole. Sensi Wu is included in the fire temple I believe, so that figure would be yours too. Quote

Geki Brick Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I have a feeling the spinner game will be quite the success. It's simplistic, and interactive. Cards effects take place in real time unlike other TCG's where all battling is abstract. Just lower the prices a tad. Thing is the spinners are slightly harder to transport than card decks and there should be a weapons slot (like the pencil slots in a book bag) in the card holders. Spinners should also be able to fit in the card holder which I imagine would be like the Game Boy holders. In the future, they could have customizable spinners that can knock a spinner off balance or stop it in its tracks. Quote

I think I do want all the ninja, but not from spinner packs, However I am not sure about the vehicle sets... none of mine turned out misprinted go with the three smallest sets and the dojo. The vehicles are actually my favorite sets, but if you buy those 4 you get all the traditional ninja stuff (including lots of printed panels) and only end up stuck with the motorcycle. Gets you your coveted helmet, a set of nunchucks, and the US price at least made for an excellent parts/price ratio, don't know how well it translates in the UK. so outpost: black ambush: red motorbike: blue dojo: white; sensei I personally got: outpost ambush motorbike dragon shredder which got me Black x2, Blue x2, White DX, Red each skellie x1 (2 - armor, 3 + headgear: straw hat, jester hat, army helmet) 2 bone axes, 3 shuriken, 2 gold sickles, 1 gold set of nunchucks, katana: 3 black, 2 silver some kinda monster statue, a grove of bamboo, and a gorgeous flag off a dragon some sweet clear rocky slopes, ball joint bricks and new knuckle plates off said dragon 2 killer vehicles and a partridge in a pear tree. and about 730 pieces in all. Ah, that's a very believable thought. In the future, they could have customizable spinners that can knock a spinner off balance or stop it in its tracks. Well, personally I don't like the spinners since the parts are Chinese. Again, not only because of quality, but mainly because they're expensive and that alternatives are available. I could well imagine a revised spinner system where you can build a spinner with customised balance, weapons on the side or something. I just had a nice thought. The new sword mould is well detailed, depicting a dragon's head breathing fire. It would be really nice if there was a different sword for each of the DX figures, depicting their respective dragon design in different colours. Never will happen, but it would be great. Also, since we've seen DX figures and a possible new Sensei outfit, hopefully we'll get a more detailed Garmadon. I'm now planning to get every set (I'm crazy. ) so it would be great to see a revised Garmadon with the temple. Quote
VenVoi Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 TRU had already set out most of the Ninjago stuff when I got there this morning. Thanks to a Rewards-R-Us coupon, I got Ninja Amush for $3! This set is a great buy, especially at that price! Quote
TheDesuComplex Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 This Ninjago theme is shaping up to be a great one. The spinners are a tad overpriced, but kids are eating them up-I went to Target a few days ago, and they had put out about 20-or-so spinners. At least half of them were gone when I went there today. toatali Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) NinjaGo Spinners are avadiable at ARGOS. Edited January 2, 2011 by toatali Quote
Peppermint_M Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 The Spinners were also in the Cardiff branch of John Lewis, so they may be in others. There was also a few of the sets to be had, all the Training Outpost sets had sold (there was a pretty noticeable gap on the shelf). I wasn't too bothered as I had already got some sets in the Lego Shop. I wonder if some of this will turn up in the supermarkets? So far I have failed to find them in Tesco or ASDA. Quote
Sirens-of-Titan Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Damn they hit us with a force! This wave was nowhere to be seen before New Year's and as of today they are everywhere! TRU, WalMart, Target! Serious marketing effort Quote
Geki Brick Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 The first line of spinners for me are to cliche. I'm waiting until April and August for the 2nd and 3rd lines to come out. (:D Zane DX + Garmadon) Quote
The Crazy One Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I wonder if some of this will turn up in the supermarkets? So far I have failed to find them in Tesco or ASDA. I bought my sets so far all from Peter Jones (owned by John Lewis) and I did have a little peek around some near by supermarkets and didn't see any, but, I reckon the spinners will turn up there. It seems Lego will sell the spinners wherever they can like the minifigures. Quote

They're available in my local Tesco, which was a bit of an odd surprise since they weren't with the rest of the toys and they didn't have any of the other new sets. They have their own cardboard display stand, and they had all of the spinners and the Skeleton Chopper. Will/Rocketbilly Edited January 2, 2011 by Rocketbilly Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I've spotted some in WHSmiths, they were just in a line at the end of the shelf but there weren't many though. Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Their here in Washington ,I bought Garmadons Dark Fortress, It,s a little smaller than I thought it would be but its still a nice set. Quote
TheMasterChief Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I got the starter set. It's cool but the skeleton's hands are turned sideways. Quote

Oky Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Well here's another video: Well, I guess this confirms that Nya is more the damsel-in-distress type of girl. I'm not surprised though, seeing how much this theme is geared towards boys. That Dragon/Fire Sword looks awesome. Quote

prateek Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Is it just me, or is Garmadon really creepy Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) Lordofdragonss you can see the back on lego.com do the 360 view but theres not much to the back ,just 2 crates with skeleton axes,on the right side theres a table with a pan,1 potion and a golden cup,on the left side theres a prison also Nya has her mask and if you look at the map of NinjaGo it shows this is set in modern times because of the Skyscrapers Edited January 2, 2011 by Dr.Cogg Quote
