The Crazy One Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Yea, that sword looks awesome, I'm hoping it won't just be int he biggest set though It's in the Fire Temple! Quote
CommanderR Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 It's in the Fire Temple! It is also in 2254 Mountain Shrine. Quote
The Crazy One Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 It is also in 2254 Mountain Shrine. Ooh, what's that? I'm getting the Fire Temple anyway but that sounds cool. Quote

Ceroknight Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Here's the link: Mountain Shrine Thank you, yay the mountain shrine doesn't looks so expensive! Looks like it will be the normal red one at the blacksmith workshop, not the kid version of him. Quote
Bfahome Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Please tell me that's Ron Perlman voicing Garmadon. Quote
Geki Brick Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Thank you, yay the mountain shrine doesn't looks so expensive! Looks like it will be the normal red one at the blacksmith workshop, not the kid version of him. Mountain Shrine's box is 10" x 7.5". I'm thinking it would be $15. Is it just me, or is Garmadon really creepy Yes. When I look at his eyes especially, my eyeballs start going up too. It's annoying, but I've gotten over the fact that it's unlucky to have something demonic looking displayed in your bedroom, looking at you while you sleep. He and Nuckal have the best colored spinners IMO, teal and purple respectively. I'm really disappointed Nya is the "damsel-in-distress". Kai's hair :D is the typical anime teen hero disheveled cut. totally cliche. Ninjago strangely reminds me of Shaolin Showdown. Quote
Delta 38 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Well, the spinner sets are now out here, but no sign of the actual sets. I'm very tempted to pick up some of the skeletons, mainly because of weapons that are exclusive to them. I really want the gold pickaxe and gold bone piece. The good thing is, I should have enough spare arms from the sets to convert them. Quote
The Crazy One Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Just picked up the Dojo. Nice set, and connected to skeleton bowling its quite a nice training scene. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Found some spinners in ASDA. Not much selection was left! Quote
Oky Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 (edited) I'm sorry, just for verification: jaaag as in jagged? Nin-jag-oh? That is even worse than Maku(ta)hero City! No, more as in "ninja" but with a stretched-out "ah" sound. Just see for yourself: Thank you, yay the mountain shrine doesn't looks so expensive! Yeah, it looks like a $20-ish set and seems to have some good parts, including a tan skeleton, that sweet fire sword, some other weapons, hopefully printed flags, and whatever that shiny thing in the treasure chest is! Ninjago strangely reminds me of Shaolin Showdown. Hehe, yeah, it's quite similar isn't it? Four young warriors trying to become masters of their respective elements by collecting magical weapons and fighting bad guys with machines... Edited January 3, 2011 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote

r4-g9 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) the website is now live! in the video section it shows a bunch of different clips from the movie that will preimere on 1/14/11 on cartoon network. http://ninjago.lego.com/en-us/Default.aspx edit: i found this picture of an exclusive sensei wu spinner: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=360333219088 Edited January 4, 2011 by r4-g9 Quote
Forresto Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Their here in Washington ,I bought Garmadons Dark Fortress, It,s a little smaller than I thought it would be but its still a nice set. DC or state? Quote
Ceroknight Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 is it just me or those the sensei sound alot like yoda? Quote
Cutty Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Ninjago strangely reminds me of Shaolin Showdown. Hehe, I actually think more of a "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" revival without the turtles-part but with more clichéd anime-elemental-magic-stuff. I mean, come on! Colour-coded teenage ninjas for your convenience? is it just me or those the sensei sound alot like yoda? Which is probably on purpose, since both function as a wise and powerful educational figure for the immature portagonists. Compare those ninjas to young Luke... you get the idea. Quote
AhabDarab Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I found this at my favorite Lego store today. I have seen no mention of it, so I took a few photos. No need for a review here, what you see is what you get( 1 arena, 1 minifig, and 1 spinner) $14.99 USD plus tax Ahab out................ Quote
Peppermint_M Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I thought I had seen something like that in the Lego Shop, through all the crowds it was hard to tell... Just thought I would also mention: I was in town yesterday and there were adverts on phone boxes, "the eys in the mist" logo on the top top and a Lego logo with the website on the bottom Quote
Jargo Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 amongst all the promo material floating around there are images of Kai in his non ninja clothes, Kane meditating underwater, and Cole mountain climbing but I haven't seen anything non ninja for Jay. Has anyone spotted anything yet? I only ask because I kinda like the non ninja look of the characters as well as the ninja outfits. I think it'd be interesting to have them in a set once the whole spinjitsu thing dies down. a full set of the four guys plus Wu and Nya in a non combative setting. I doubt it'll happen but I like the idea. and if it doesn't happen I'd like to customise some figs to get them so, if anyone spots a pic of Jay in a non ninja outfit, please share I'll be ever so grateful. thanks. You can see him without his mask in this video. I don't think we'll get casual versions of the figs, just like we never got non-diving-gear versions of the Atlantis crew. Jargo Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Thanks, not quite what I was looking for though. I guess I might have to wait until the movie comes out. Quote
TWTaylor Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Not sure if anyone else has posted this, and I couldn't find it in this thread, but Target has the Dojo for $39.99, compared to everyone else's $49.99. $10 difference is a pretty big deal for me, and I picked it up last night using a gift card that my wife gave me for Christmas.
