Samukai is the one with four arms right? I think it would be unfair to fight 4armed skeleton vs 2 armed ninjas. Also 4 weapons would make spinner wobly (2 of them are hard to spin already)

My brother keeps saying the same thing. Why would he need to have weapons in all of his arms? Most of the skeleton spinners only have one weapon at a time despite having two arms.

I think the reason why there isn't a spinner is because of the overall size. It would be extremely imbalanced to use one in a game: he has four arms, but is also an easier target to hit.

Personally, I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of Zanes in the sets. Zane is only in three of the sets (four if you count the Ice Dragon, but that's the DX version), and is harder to obtain than the others. :sceptic:

I hope we see images of the Lightning Dragon soon, and it'd be great if it wasn't an exclusive (though it almost definitely is), and if it included Zane. :classic:

Being an easier target to hit might be a factor, and might not. To be honest, I wouldn't know unless I'd played the Spinjitzu game myself, which I haven't. Does the size of your character really matter that much? And if so, aren't the other skeleton generals already at a sort of a disadvantage (having both neck accessories, large heads, and in some cases headgear?)

Anyway, the main reasons I'm disappointed with the lack of a spinner for him aren't competitive reasons, but rather lack of a spinner decoration specific to him (the other generals have neat elementally-themed patterns of Lord Garmadon's skull logo, but there's none that's nearly as dynamic for a fire skeleton) and lack of card art (perhaps the biggest disappointment).

As for Zane, the regular version comes in five sets if you count summer sets and 3XXXX-numbered impulse sets, and the DX version is in two. That doesn't seem too unfair to me. In contrast, consider Jay (6 regular, 2 DX assuming a DX version comes in the Lightning Dragon set), Kai (5 regular, 3 DX), and Cole (3 regular, 3 DX). All in all, Cole is the ninja who appears in the fewest sets, not counting Nya (who comes in only three sets).

But Cole can be bought in the cheapest set, followed by Kai then Jay.

For Zane (normal), You'd have to dish out more than the above three ninja's cheapest sets combined.

Maybe we should suggest to Lego to make a Ninjago Battle Pack of the four main characters with their spinners, sadly two things....one if they did $$$$$ and second, they wounldn't do it ! :cry_sad:

If the tv series is pulled off then more sets and more spinners will be comming forth.

So keep on spinning !

Watched the German language version of the movie on youtube. Interesting... I didn't spot Wu in a black outfit though he does look better in black. Great little movie though. Even watching a version in a language I don't speak it's easy to follow. Shadow Garmadon is cool. I was only going to buy a few bits and bobs from this line but now I'll consider buying whole sets.

Yeah, that's what I meant. It's quite imbalanced.

Oh, and also I don't think promotional sets of any kind make it to Australia, with the exception of a few. :sceptic:

I understand the spinner thing though. Originally, I wanted to buy the spinner sets for the actual spinners, but after learning the figures were Chinese and (more importantly) the ridiculously high price for the figures, I decided against it.

This? All you linked to was the IGN channel page

As for the actual trailer. Twas quite boring

Good trailer. It reminds me of boulder scene in Indiana Jones.

The four April spinner sets are now on the Ninjago products page and the Customer Service replacement parts page. Additionally, weapons from the four sets are in the "Weapons Dictionary" section of the site. None of the new cards in the Card Dictionary yet, though, and no online building instructions.

Interestingly, according to the replacement parts website and Ninjago products page, the base of Nuckal's spinner is in fact Medium Lilac (BL's Dark Purple) rather than Earth Blue (BL's Dark Blue) as it appeared in some of the earlier pics. Needless to say, I'm a bit disappointed that his spinner's not transparent on top like the (presumably finalized) pics of Kruncha and Wyplash, two of the other generals, but I guess consistency isn't totally important.

Also, I realized in one of the recently-posted Turbo Shredder reviews that we do in fact, have card art of Samukai (See this image). However, I'm not sure where it'll show up, given that Samukai has only been seen in two sets (Garmadon's Dark Fortress and the Fire Temple), and neither one has a spinner. So far, haven't cards only come with sets that have spinners? So maybe his card art will end up being used for something other than a card... or maybe (hopefully) we'll get that Samukai spinner and character card I've been hoping for.

EDIT: Also, according to Nya's product page she has psychic powers. That's pretty interesting I guess.

Nya and Nuckal's character pages are also up now, and their flash animations are both very entertaining. Additionally, the character pages for Cole and Zane have been upgraded to pages for Cole DX and Zane DX, meaning the story information is now more up-to-date, and the main flash animations and downloadable wallpapers show the DX versions rather than the original version.

Additionally, the "Explore Ninjago" section has a lot more locations than it had on the preview site. But that may have been the case for a while now-- I admit I never checked back on it since the first time it was added to the preview site until now!

Nya is apparently Kai's sister. There seems to be a pretty interesting family dynamic there. I'm sure the movie thing demonstrates that... still waiting to watch that in English.

Someone on Bricklink apparently got their hands on 2508 Blacksmith Shop (I was pretty sure it was a summer set, but I guess that didn't stop them). One thing worth noting is that this means we have a new pic of the Earth skeleton general, Kruncha. I'm sure a lot of people will be disappointed to hear that no, his helmet isn't a separate part from his head. On the plus side, though, he appears to have a monocle. Beautiful!

Ah, he lives......

I know nothing!

I guess the head was to be expected. It looked like the same "soft" plastic, so I had a feeling it was joined. :sceptic:

Are the spinner sets worth the price? I'd like to get the Nya spinner, because she's such a lovely figure, but I'm not sure if it's worth £8.

Buy it if you want to own a spinner which is un-MOCable, I think. The spinners spin like beyblades so it's more fun owning two. Nya is a great figure and the blister pack includes two black lightsaber hilts. Idk, but the spinner's value is only redeemable from buying two of them.

I don't really want to buy two, because I'm not interested in the spinner itself, just the figure and the weapons. I may get it, because Nya only appears in one of the larger sets. Plus it cones with some pearl gold parts and black lightsabre hilts.

If you want Nya and not the set she comes in, buy the spinner. If you find 8 pounds to much for one single fig, try searching bricklink for her. Cheapest price on bricklink is $6,50 so that's very steep to. Save yourself the trouble of buying online and just buy the spinner.

It's also worth noting that Nya is currently the only set to come with those tooth/blade pieces in pearl gold (297 Warm Gold). So that could be an interesting thing to seek out.

By the way, you know what kind of disappoints me? The new shuriken piece hasn't been used in any colors besides pearl gold despite non-gold weapons being plentiful in Ninjago. Perhaps if there's another wave that might be alleviated, or perhaps there might be a new theme or collectible minifigure in the future to use that piece (although its stylized design, while perfect for minifigures to hold, might limit its future applications).

I suppose you're right. I don't like buying online, and the spinner set comes with more than just the figure. If I see it I'll pick it up.

The only two shops in my town that have spinners are Argos and ASDA. Unfortunately, neither of them had the Nya spinner, and she's not stocked on their websites, either. On Brickset, it says that the 2nd wave of spinners (Nya, Lord Garmadon, Wyplash etc.) are all available, but I can't find anywhere that actually has them. Has anyone else seen these in shops or got them?
