The_Box Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Garmadon, Whiplash and Kruncha are August spinners to go along with the August sets. on a side note, associates at the Lego Store, somewhat near me, had no idea of the polybag sets. And on that same note, do we know when/where the other 2 bags will be showing up? Quote
Ceroknight Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 The only two shops in my town that have spinners are Argos and ASDA. Unfortunately, neither of them had the Nya spinner, and she's not stocked on their websites, either. On Brickset, it says that the 2nd wave of spinners (Nya, Lord Garmadon, Wyplash etc.) are all available, but I can't find anywhere that actually has them. Has anyone else seen these in shops or got them? they are available in my local walmart, but the only ones that are actually left is Nya and Nuckal Quote
Gregorovich Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 they are available in my local walmart, but the only ones that are actually left is Nya and Nuckal So they are available, then. At my ASDA (which is basically the British equivalent of WalMart, seeing as it's part of the WalMart family) they only had the Red Ninja, the Black Ninja and Krazi. I'll have to check back there soon to see if they've got the second wave. Quote

Gregorovich Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 They are available at S@H as well I knew that. I just don't like buying off the internet . I suppose I'll just keep waiting until ASDA gets them, because I noticed that they sell them for £5, whereas most shops sell them for around £8. Quote
lowbike1 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 where will the sensei Wu spinner be available? Quote
Gregorovich Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I checked ASDA yesterday, and they had no spinners whatsoever. I'm hoping that they were just clearing out he old ones so hey could stock the newer ones. Has anyone else in he UK's ASDA got the newer ones? I'll check back at my own one tomorrow to see what's there. Quote
squidman85 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Does anybody have a problem with the printings on minifigures?I bought ice dragon and dojo today and Zane's DX torso was a bit lame, however Nuckal's torso in dojo set even don't have printing. Quote

That's odd. Nuckal's torso is supposed to have printing in that set. Perhaps you got a misprint, in which case I'd recommend possibly using the Customer Service website to report that and get a replacement. There will be Ninjago skeleton torsos without printing in the Pirates of the Caribbean sets. But all the Ninjago sets we've seen so far have printing on skeleton torsos. Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Who wants to see the lightning dragon set? Sorry if it already has been seen, but I can't recall that it was So toys r us carries this 'ninjago official guide' book, just a little kid paperback reader, and within its pages there's just art and info on the characters, locations, photos of the weapons, vehicles, and DRAGONS. excuse my awful ipod touch camera and the binding of the book (Blocking from view a skeleton helicopter lugging a caged sensei wu, the extra model included with the dragon) Quote
Oky Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Cool, thanks for the pics. I think they're the first we've seen of this set. The Lighting Dragon looks pretty good - lots of nice pearl gold and light and dark blue bits - but it also look expensive. It looks even bigger than the earth dragon, and together with a helicopter and a third minifig, I bet it will be at least $50. Quote
Gregorovich Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Thanks for the image, SpiderSpaceman! The dragon looks quite good, but it's very similar to the Fire and Ice dragons. I'm interested in seeing more of the skeleton copter. Thanks again for the images, although it's a rather odd place for TLG to put the first official image of a new set... Quote
Ceroknight Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Interesting! Thank you! It has the same type of building like the Fire and Ice so I guess it will fit in really well Quote
Aanchir Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Love this one! It's way better than the Fire Dragon, particularly in the tail area. The spears are an additional interesting touch. And I love the printed lightning bolts on his head! I agree, he'll probably be very expensive, but I think he'll probably be worth every penny among those who collect Ninjago. On a side note, I love how despite sharing the head of the Ice Dragon and Fire Dragon, he is also a lot like the Earth Dragon in that he is a long, serpentine dragon with four legs. Not sure how I feel about him having four legs as well as clawed wings, but overall his design quality is enough to make up for it (or at least it appears such in this picture). Also note that as of yet, he's the only set other than Nya to have the "spike" piece in 297 Warm Gold (Pearl Gold). His wings might possibly be in 321 Dark Azure (the color of the Alien Defense Force uniforms in Alien Conquest), which would be awesome. Quote
Rocketbilly Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 (edited) It looks great. It also looks to have a new piece on the middle tail section - like a sloped brick with a jumper plate on it at an angle - this could just be the picture, though but such a piece would be interesting to have. (it's the dark blue piece with the light blue transparent cheese slopes on it, near the tail) Edited April 22, 2011 by Rocketbilly Quote

That tail section is at a different angle than the main body, which may be why they look like slopes. Quote

Looking at the picture again, I realized I made an error at calling that area par of the tail. In fact, the area I am referring to looks to be part of the body - just in front of the back legs. Sorry if I caused confusion about that, my bad. Though it's a fairly naff picture (no offense to Spiderspaceman - he did his best) so it's hard to tell really. Quote

I know the section you're talking about, but it looks like they're either what Aanchir said, two 2x2 jumper plates at a funny angle, or they're four 2x2 jumpers on four of the usual 1x2 hinge brick (maybe with the 2x2 hinge plate on the top) also at a funny angle. Delta 38 Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Who wants to see the lightning dragon set? Oh, wow! It looks very similar to that image I posted earlier, which is surprising given that the image was from the Ninjago DS game. This looks bigger than the Fire dragon, and it definitely overshadows the Ice dragon. I think I may risk waiting and paying maybe double the price of the Skeleton Bowling set for a complete set of dragons. Not sure if this is an exclusive set though. It does look a bit big for an exclusive set, so I hope it isn't one. Quote

I would expect it to be an exclusive set, just because it seems illogical that such a huge set would be kept so secret unless it were an exclusive. Unless, of course, it's a D2C set, in which case boy wouldn't the D2C contest feel redundant! Quote
squidman85 Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 That's seems to be the best dragon(he also the only one that looks like dragon) in the line. Why dragons aren't the same proportions?Ice dragon even don't have a seat. What minifigures are in the set, except Jay DX? Quote

Donut Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Yesterday at TRU, I saw an entire box filled with black Ninjago trading card packs. I was told that each pack contains only one card and it was selling for around $3 USD. This makes the minifig+card pack look like a good deal. Quote
