RoryoCox Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I don't think instructions were ever given for alternative models, you had to figure them out yourself. P.S. Please resize your picture. Check here- Resize Tutorial Quote
brickfoot Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 They never made instructions for alternate models. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Whoah! That's one massive picture! Anyways, like others have said, you'll have to figure it out yourself. I know for some sets like the Dagobah X-wing, they eventually put up instructions in the LEGO Club website, but otherwise, you're on your own. It (the build) looks fairly straight-forward. Quote
Derek Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Holy large image. But to answer your question, they probably don't even exist. These pictures are usually just provided to jumpstart a creative build using only pieces from the set. Quote
Big Cam Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Alternate builds don't come with instructions, theya re simply idea's to help stimulate the mind to build something on your own. It should be too hard to recreate from teh picture though. Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Yup, what everyone here has said is true. This is a story I heard.... Back in the day, when LEGO still put alternate builds onto a box, there were no instructions for those builds. The whole point was to get children to be creative, use trial and error to create what they saw...problem solving. Unfortunately, too many parents called LEGO to complain that there weren't instructions available for the alternate builds. So LEGO finally said something like "We're done." Go against the core values and make it too easy for the kids, or continue with the gripes from parents....now, we have what we have today. Quote
