Pellaeon Posted September 17, 2010 Author Posted September 17, 2010 Took me long enough... but I've got instructions! Well, build photos at least! So if you'd like to recreate my Tumbler, check out the flickr set: I also took the opportunity to give the driver a roomier cockpit, by replacing the 6x8 plate on the bottom with a recessed vehicle base. Batman approves! If you do build a copy, or a Tumbler based on mine, please do share photos! Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Great work! I've tried to build this at minifigure scale and I agree it is quite a challenge. Quote
bricked one Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Robin needs to be seated in the tumbler too. like mine. i haven't posted it yet Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Thanks for sharing the instructions Pellaeon! I might have to try to build your MF-scale one and take a group shot with my own Tumbler (The Big Brother). Quote
CarrollFilms Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 This is outstandingly cool, thanks for the free instructions, I will have to build it in my free time, keep up the good work! Quote
Solscud007 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I didnt want to start a new thread. But I finally ordered the bricks and built my own version of Pellaeon's Tumbler. The tumbler parts was my first batch BL order so I was missing a few pieces. I scrounged some tiefighters and batches of loose pieces I have in a bin to add a little detail and try to finish the Tumbler. I also got too many of the black axle wheels, not realizing I needed a pin hole type black wheel so I used a gray set for the front as a temporary fix until I get the black wheels. I added two batarang holders inside the cockpit. Quote
Pellaeon Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 Here is another shot of the Tumbler. * snip * Excellent work! I'm glad you're enjoying it, and that taking all those "instruction" photos wasn't a waste of my time. BTW, I've made one change since then, which is to add one of these to the rear engine: [ Black Technic Hub / Handle 1 x 1 ]. It looks a bit better, I think. I'll try to snap a pic when I get home. Pellaeon Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 (edited) interesting, mind taking build steps of tour animated series batmobile? Sorry, that one is a lot of work to disassemble. It's a much easier build though, and I took a few pictures of the more complex assemblies, which you can see in my photostream starting with this one. Edited April 9, 2011 by Pellaeon Quote
Solscud007 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 It has been a while but I didnt want to start a new thread. I put up my version of Pellaeon's tumbler on Cuusoo. http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/9797 Quote
