Matn Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 Woah, thanks for the frontpage Svelte! And thanks again for all the nice comments, I appreciate it. And it's indeed Trelawney's torso. I used it because it had purple in it and the blue wasn't used elsewhere. Quote
Whittleberry Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Fantastic MOC Matn! I've long been a fan of your Potter-inspired creations. I love the uber-pinkness, it's just like how it is described in the book. Quote
Sirius Black Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Are you planning on designing the rest of Hogsmeade (Not the entire thing ) based on the movies, or the books, or a combination? BTW, are you planning on finishing your Hogwarts? It seems to have stagnated . Sirius Quote
Matn Posted August 17, 2010 Author Posted August 17, 2010 It certainly won't be based on the films, as you can see with this tea shop. When I read the Harry Potter books, I see everything happening in my mind and all the scenery and buildings are driven by Rowling's descriptions. She mostly describes the interior, so you can say I have all the freedom with Hogsmeade! I always envisioned Hogsmeade as a medieval village, but with some modern touches like glass in the windows, lanterns, shops similar to old (British I guess) shops with windows that come forward, ... The layout will be the one as described in the books. Everything will be very colourful, but I'm sure people will recognize it as Hogsmeade although it won't look like Hogsmeade in the film (especially without the snow). That doesn't mean I don't like the film version of Hogsmeade, it's just more fun to make my own and original Hogsmeade. Hogwarts castle will have to wait for a bit, I'll restart it all over again when I'm done with Hogsmeade (Hogsmeade falls under "Hogwarts project" ). Thanks for your interest! Quote
Professor Trelawney Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Im really Looking forward to your Hogsmead Project, I bet it will look fantastic! Quote
Aredhel Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 This is really really great work though it is pink :-P But this all fits to the scene and the "romantic" atmosphere! As was said before, this will be the great start of a diorama ;-) Cannot wait to see more! -Aredhel Quote
indyman09 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 It fits perfectly in Hogsmeade. Are you planning to make the 3 broomsticks to? Quote
CommanderFox Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Looks so perfect, can't wait to see more! Is there an interior? It fits perfectly in Hogsmeade. Are you planning to make the 3 broomsticks to? That would be so cool to see! Great job! CF Quote
