I'd like to point out that the real "Purple" color gets called 'Dark Purple' (BrickLink) and 'Medium Lilac' (LEGO).  In this case, I think LEGO has the better name.  There is also 'Purple' (BrickLink), known as 'Bright Violet' (LEGO).  I'd really like to see a selection of parts in 'Dark Lilac' (I guess BrickLink would call it 'Dark Dark Purple'), or 'Dark Violet' (Not sure what BrickLink would call that, maybe 'Earth Purple?').

In the case of Pinks, BrickLink has the better names, as Pink (Bricklink) is called Light Reddish Violet (LEGO), and Bright Pink (BrickLink) is called Light Purple (LEGO).  But naming conventions is a completely different issue altogether.

I just want a true Dark Purple.

As a Castle fan and generally interested in history, i'd really love to have a big Zweihander styled sword/polearm (same size as a spear).

(I'm sorry for the blurry image, i know i need to buy a better camera )

I'm surprised this part hasn't been used ever since, but part no. 85962 (pictured below) was introduced in 2009's 8970 Robo Attack and never used again since then. If they could find more opportunities to use it, I hope to see it introduced in other transparent colors, particularly in Trans. Bright Orange, which for some reason I really think would fit it nicely.

I could see the part being used for retro rocketcraft specifically, if not in sets, for MOCs.

Double width headlight brick?

I'll take it one further and ask for double-sided headlight brick. Or double-sided inverse headlight (with anti-studs on its sides).

Put hollow studs on top and it'd be even better.

I photoshopped this fwiw.

I made a MOC which used two headlight bricks in this format, and the design of the model would be much stronger if the model used a part like this. So yes, I could see this part being viable design.

Well, looks like such a part will finally be real ! :D

(From the Justice League Batmobile)

Wow! I've analysed all the new Flying Fox official images, and I completely missed this! Well, perhaps I just wasn't looking for something like that, since I'm mostly interested in superficial, cosmetically enhancing parts.

The blog New Elementary is going to be all over this piece, perhaps he will even start a part contest around it. :sweet:

Yeah, I wouldn't mind this, either. Ninjago seems to be the only outlet for edged weapons currently, and seems to get one or two new ones every season.

Another thing I wouldn't mind seeing is bog-standard 1x3 bricks in Dark Blue and Dark Red. Oh, and Sand Green all the things.

As far as colors go, one particular blank spot in Lego's color spectrum I think needs to be filled is a solid reddish orange color (example pictured below) that sits in between Bright Orange and Bright Red. It would be the darker equivalent of Flame Yellowish Orange, which sits between Bright Yellow and Bright Orange on the spectrum.

I was just browsing the colorstream project by Flickr user Ryan H., and I saw he posted this one unreleased prototype color back in January this year named "7 Orange". It sort of fits the bill for the color I was proposing.

There was some discussion on the comments for this photo about the color's origin and history that was interesting to read.

I'd like it if the smaller dragon wings introduced in Elves were made in black. They're the perfect size for my Flyer Beast mod.

I imagine that might be one of the more likely colors for them to appear in in the future, given the propensity for those sorts of parts to get reused for Batman vehicles.

I would like to see Lego reintroduce part no. 30161 (pictured below), but with 318 bar clips instead for hinges. It was a most ideal windshield part for six wide cars that could be angled at an pitch desired, unlike many current fixed windshield pieces.

I'd second this, but make the suggestion that it use bars or handles, making more akin to 30292, it might need a central support but there are more ways to connect to bar clip plates that way round, I think.

Hmm. Bar or clip? That's a tricky decision. However I'd have to agree with you @badgerboy on using a bar most notably because (1) many hinged parts such as the one you pointed and many others are designed that way and (2) you would have a lot more options for building IMO.

I'm hoping it'll make an appearance in a few more colours soon too. I have a lot of black from parted out barman sets, but I don't seem to build in it very often... perhaps now is time for that Blacktron project!

When I first saw the piece after someone spotted it on the JL Batmobile, I thought Brickset would reveal other sets or potential recolors the part came in. But surprisingly, there are no other sets it has appeared in other than the Flying Fox. :sceptic:

Well, I suppose we may see more usage of it in any of September's Star Wars sets, perhaps recolored in Light Bluish Grey. :smug:

LEGO won't create a new mold for a very generic (and highly useful) part to only use it in one color. The part will definitely be available in other colors soon.
