Gnac Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I was waiting since a few years for a 2x4 car wheel arches/mudguard part in green ( http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=60212 / http://www.bricklink...Item.asp?P=3788 ) I discovered that it existed in one set just after the set was retired! ( http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=6910-1 ) I missed the set mostly because on some of the official photos (e.g. the one used on Brickset) the part appears as white instead of green It is quite rare on Bricklink, but luckily I recently found three of that set in a local shop I was going to apologise for snaffling two of those last month (I've been buying parts to triple the pieces for each of my Creator Minis), but if you're the buyer of these three in the used column for april 2014, then you got them at a decent price. On topic: There's a thread in the Ambassador forum here for suggesting new parts (whether they be new designs, or existing parts in other colours). Maybe take a look and add some ideas? Quote
antp Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 but if you're the buyer of these three in the used column for april 2014, then you got them at a decent price. It wasn't me, as I said I finally found the set in a local shop. I have wanted some red1x2x3 panels for quite a while and I do not care whether they have hollow or solid studs on top. If you do not care which version it is, the one with solid studs does not seem so rare. Except if you want it as brand new... Quote
Aaron Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I've reached an impasse where even using the old style hinges (or any other existing method) to invert parts won't work in my situation. I'm in desperate need of 1 x 2 plates with studs on the top in bottom, in light bluish gray. I'm surprised that I can't find anything like this, even produced by third party companies. I'm almost certain that the only way for me to do it at this point would be for me to 3D print the parts, or make Frankenlego elements using acetone. Quote
1974 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 TLG have in fact made a part very similar to this : And I've also seen a clone version at Brickset's forum .. Tyco perhaps? I don't really miss new parts, but it's really frustrating when a rather common part is only available in a few specific colours Cheers, Ole Quote

AmperZand Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Part 1: - Part name: Minifig neck bracket with two clips - Part description: --> A bracket that fits on a minifig's back with two clips for wings, weapons etc. A third party company, Minifigcat, does one ( http://www.minifigcat.com/shop/home.php?cat=509 ) but TLG should produce an official one. - Part usage: --> Articulated wings for minifigs! What kid who has ever owned minifigs hasn't wanted to roleplay one flying? Useful for super heroes, fantasy and mythology. If you're a purist not willing to use Minifigcat's brackets or simply not able to get them, you either have to settle for fixed wings such as these parts: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=98722 , http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=93250pb01 , http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=11599 , or the Legends of Chima approach: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=11097 with two 1 x 1 clip plates. The Legends of Chima method is disproportionately bulky for a minifig, covers a lot of the minifig's chest printing, has a particular look that doesn't suit many applications and is ridiculously heavy looking for a flying minifig. I could not have created the minifig below left using LEGO only: Part 2: - Part name: Lion - Part description: --> A minifig scale lion. Ideally, with a mane that can be removed to create a lioness and other large cats. Also, a removable 1 x 2 brick so that the lion/large cat can be ridden by a minifig just as LEGO horses can. - Part usage: --> Any number of uses from a City zoo or safari to a mount in a fantasy setting. This one has already been mentioned in this thread and elsewhere but is worth repeating as it's such a staggering omission from the available animals. TLG has produced an ostrich and a clam but never a lion. Amazing! Quote
emilstorm Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Great idea! I may not agree with cutting it, but I have never thought of using that part for SNOT. Quote

Maybe take a look and add some ideas? Thanks for pointing that other thread out, Gnac. I've posted there. Not quite sure why anyone would post in this thread knowing that that one already exists. More than one thread on essentially the same topic makes for untidy boards. If there's a friendly mod about, perhaps this thread should be merged with that one or simply locked. emilstorm Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 They should really make those board game micro figures with normal printed heads and bodies for use as little kids. Quote
Takanuinuva Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 (edited) Here is a part I think Lego should add. Its a smaller version of http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=92013 with an added axle hole. It would be useful to give constraction figs pose able fingers by using it along with http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=92692 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2540 or http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=48336 The added axle hole is to securely attach weapons. It might have to come without the axle hole depending on whether or not the axle hole would cause strength issues with the ball socket here is a pic of the part http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/mc/new_technic_ball_brick.png Edited June 7, 2014 by Takanuinuva Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I am always yearning for new parts and recolours, and I think the one that constraction lovers would love to see is the Hero Factory hand with handles instead of static fingers, so that you can have action figure models with poseable fingers while still maintaining the robot-like aesthetic, like in this concept sketch I drew up really: The axle holder in the middle would still allow the hand to hold weapons and stuff. It'd be ideal for those who don't always want their figures holding weapons. I'd also like to see the 6M shell cast in in blue, but that's because I have an MOC that would look better with them than what we've currently got. Quote
-Horizon- Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I wish LEGO would make the Hood Mold in Dk. Tan and Tan. Quote
Transparency for Effect Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Um, any part from TLM that isn't an actual part, so the movie really is something you can make entirely out of LEGO ;) Quote
Lego Otaku Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 You're building something and you need to center piece and offset by half stud. But there is nothing that can fit in a 1x3 area to 1x2 area. Using a regular 1x2 jumper with a 1x2 part would allow it to rotate and mess up the look. Can we have a 1x3 jumper plate with 2 offset studs to fill in the gap above?? Quote
Leewan Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 (edited) Like this ? Edited July 16, 2014 by Leewan Quote
TheOrcKing Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I could use a number of the various canopy/windscreen pieces such as this, this, this, or this among a list of others in translucent red or green. I think it would be pretty cool to create something in the style of Space Police I & II but there really hasn't been many if at all of windscreens used in recent years made in translucent red or green. Can we have a 1x3 jumper plate with 2 offset studs to fill in the gap above?? Like this ? Excellent piece; I would love to have a handful of those right now! Quote
Lego Otaku Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Like this ? That would be perfect if it was real. Quote
Leewan Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Thanks guys. Now let's hope it will inspire Lego. Quote
Lego Otaku Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Hopefully it will. There are many possibilities for this 1x3 jumper plate Quote
ummester Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Bring back the shrouds from the old pirate ships, in dark brown. Part 6057 and 2541, as pictured: Why? Because the new shrouds lack shape and kind of suck for tall ship building. I'd really like a tall or long shroud with greater taper and 3 gaps (or 4 vertical beams) so that the dimensions were either 27x7 or 27x8. Quote
Gnac Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Back again with a small and simple request for an existing part in different colours. 98138 - Flat Tile 1X1, Round 26: Black 199: Dark Stone Grey These would complete my mini-MOC of set 7347 that I have been hoarding for a while: Specifically, the wheels of the micro off-road vehicle, and the ends of the fuel tanks. I have a real build where these are recreated with metallic and Light Stone Grey parts respectively, which doesn't look accurate at all. I believe that some sort of "wheel hub" print on the black parts would be super-popular! Quote
Aaron Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) I feel that I, and many other train builders included, desperately need these parts in the aforementioned colours in order to make some fantastic MOCs. The need for double wide train windows is killing me, and two 1 x 2 x 2 panels side-by-side just doesn't cut it. Another benefit is that they'd be very easy and cost-efficient to implement in sets. I could see these windows being used in some sort of Agents truck, police van, or new train set or something. Do it for me, and I'll tattoo the LEGO logo to my forehead. Panel 1 x 4 x 2 with Side Supports in transparent light blue. Window 1 x 2 x 2 Flat Front in both dark red and light bluish gray. Edited October 3, 2014 by Aaron Quote
Leewan Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 This topic should be merged with this one. Also, about the round jumper, would you like something like this ? Good news, it looks like this part is going to be in some Friends and Elves sets next year. Quote
TAFOL Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 For a MOC I'm currently building, I could use some tiles 1x1 (Bricklink-part no.: 3070b) in dark orange. And for some future MOC's, I think cheese slopes (Bricklink-part no.: 54200) in dark orange would be a welcome addition Quote
