Cavannus Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I agree with you guys about the streets looking to empty, I will buy the Public Transpot Station. Also I'm planning on making alot more Street Lights and Road signs. Great! Another suggestion: you may focus on a part of the city and make it animated, and keep the rest more or less empty as if it was a suburb or a part under construction. Feel free to post updates photos :) Quote
gotoAndLego Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Assuming your beach is the ocean, you might want to turn the wind generator so its catching the wind coming off the ocean. Quote
rakky Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I can't believe someone voted this as poor, its totally awesome dude and i hope when you add some more life to it it will be even more so, I have just got back into lego again and was not that fussed by the lego city but after seeing this and some other setups i really just want city now as there is so much you can do with it. BillytheKid Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Your idea to build this awesome layout is the best ever. Only where are you gonna walk or sit in the layout to build or 'play'? Maybe you have your own way to move around, but I don't see it. To mine opnion, you need to more attention to the room itself. Place cupboards or selves to place sets on it, which cannot placed in the layout. I see you like ninja sets . You can also paint the corners blue for creating air in your layout. I hope you see what I mean, with this picture. You need more trees and flowers in your layout. I prefer high moc trees. I still need to do this myself too, only money and time is a problem. And I miss a logic in the roads you layed down. Overall I think it's very good what you've made. And I love this pic, something you have inspired me : Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 Well before this room was my city it used to be a room for our Hornby trains, but I lost intrest in them so I decided to Build a Lego City and redecorate the room, and the Idea about the Cuboards and shelves is amazing, I might consider doing that, And I see you've been looking at my Brickshelf , I started Keeping the Lego Boxes since Christmas 2009.
