user Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Even though The Lion King doesn't have any Humans, They could still use the Animal Characters as MiniFigures. I would prefer lego not make furries. Quote
Solscud007 Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 (edited) I would like to se Disney classics. Not entire lines dedicated to Disney series but perhaps special disney exclusive sets. Beauty and the Beast (rose under glass and a small dance floor) Snow White and Seven dwarves w/ witch and apple, in Dwarves hutt. Aladdin Mulan StarTours shuttle etc you get the idea. Also why havent we seen the obvious? Simpsons. They are yellow, perfect for classic Minifig coloring. Edited September 12, 2010 by Solscud007 Quote

They would have sets like: The Sultan's Palace The Cave Of Wonders The Marketplace Under The Cave Of Wonders (Where we meet The Genie for the first time.) Jafar's Hideout The Magic Carpet And Buildable Figures of The Characters. Quote
noname Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 (edited) Well, "The Chronicles of Narnia" theme would be really great. Edited September 12, 2010 by noname Quote
Build-A-Trent99 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Well, "The Chronicles of Narnia" theme would be really great. There used to be a Mega Bloks Chronicles Of Narnia line. Too bad it's GONE. Quote
Build-A-Trent99 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I would prefer lego not make furries. The Minifigures would NOT be covered in Hair or Fur. Have you seen the Minifigures for the Animal Chracters in the LEGO Toy Story sets like Bullseye the Horse and Hamm the Piggy Bank Pig? They did NOT have Hair or Fur covered on them. Quote
The Nightwing Reborn Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 @Build-A-Trent: That is certainly NOT what he means by furries . I'd really like to see Tron sets and the POtC sets. However, every other disney liscence I can think of is certainly a pass in my mind. Quote

prateek Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I wish TLG would do a LEGO South Park theme. Not a chance. Just a friendly note. TLC will never do a theme that is solely based on characters! Kids want vehicles and buildings, not random people. Quote

Peppermint_M Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Power Rangers has Vehicles & Buildings, & Zords & Megazords! Build-A-Trent99 Please stop the random "I wants" you are beginning to sound like you are too young for this forum. We would all like TLG to create themes based in whole or in part on themes, shows and franchises we like. However it is unlikely to happen. As I said before, head over the the Minifig Customisation Workshop, get collecting useful minifig parts and make your own representations of characters and MOC their vehicles and scenes. You'll find it a lot more fun than posting random shows on the internet. Quote

Peppermint_M Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Here is the Minifig Customisation Workshop. Take a look at the tutorials, search the decals and generally acquaint yourself with what to do. Then you'll be making characters from your favourite films/shows/books before you know it. Quote

He has that avatar because he's been banned already for asking stupid questions. Might have been worth double-checking that before you replied. Quote
Luciant Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Surprised I haven't seen it mentioned before: Star Trek Pluses - Extremely extensive line to create from with series: Star Trek Original, Star Trek TNG, Star Trek DS9, Star Trek Voyager, Star Trek Enterprise, and then about 15 movies. - Many different races, each race with a unique "theme" itself...unique minifigs, ships, bases, etc. You could almost do subtheme sets off the main set and get away with it. - Very large AFOL base (since that's where all the cash lies). Huge fan base other than AFOLs to increase sales. - Finally the ability to face off: Star Trek vs Star Wars! - Finally get some REAL ships than the bo-bo MOCs on Ebay. Minuses - No current Star Trek series. Lego would rely on the hope that Trekkies would unite to support this. - Star Trek has never really targeted children as an audience (Yes there were cartoons... but IMO for adults still). - Possible Issues with Lucas Films License if they decide to pick up Star Trek Lisence - Sets would in all likelyhood be large with many pieces, therefore ending up with an expensive theme, with few smaller sets. Would LOVE to see it happen, but I think the only way Lego or Star Trek would pursue each other is if Star Trek released another series (preferably an animated series for kids). Oh Lego... there is so much money to be made from it, but alas, I don't think it will ever happen. One can dream tho... Quote

RubeusHagrid Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 I don't know. But as Lion King has no people, I would really doubt it. Cars has no people either. Quote
Nikola Bathory Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Tron was a failure for Disney, they lost a lot of money from it, I think. Quote
Aanchir Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Tron was a failure for Disney, they lost a lot of money from it, I think. You talking the original, or the new one? The original didn't do especially well in the box office, which is why its immense popularity in the years since has been such a phenomenon. I thought I heard that the new one did well? But perhaps it didn't make back whatever the investment in it turned out to be. In any event, Tron: Legacy has come and gone, so unless the franchise continues further there won't likely be a LEGO license. This topic has since kind of derailed into a discussion of future licenses in general, though, so I don't know if there's still room for further discussion. Quote
