KimT Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Sorry for bumpin' this, but I just stumbled over it on flickr again today and I tried to get the lxf file. It didn't wirk and nor does the link here (which is the same). Perhaps a new link? Quote
CommanderFox Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Sorry for bumpin' this, but I just stumbled over it on flickr again today and I tried to get the lxf file. Kim bumping a topic?! Funny how I haven't posted here, I remembered looking at it. It really is a great midi! The colours and techniques in it, down to the stand are all very well done! CF Quote
Eichhorn Posted December 13, 2010 Author Posted December 13, 2010 I uploaded it again and I really hope it works now. lxf@Rapidshare BTW I just ordered some tan cheeseslopes off BL,I´ll update the Pic when the arrive. Then I`ll be finally done with this one for good. And if anyone feels like recouloring the lxf-Slave to Jangos colourscheme I´d be happy. I tried several times, but I'm lacking the proper refernce material. Quote

Walter Kovacs Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I'm not sure how I missed this when it was first posted. This is a fantastic Midi scale MOC. I'm looking forward to the updated pictures. It looks fantastic the way it is, I can't imagine what needed improvement. I might just have to download the .lxf file and build it myself. Quote

I'm looking forward to the updated pictures. It looks fantastic the way it is, I can't imagine what needed improvement. I might just have to download the .lxf file and build it myself. The main thing I wanted to improve was switching the cheeseslopes on the wings from Bley to Tan, since the towerbridge included loads of them and I already BLed some. I'm also looking to maybe improve the backside (fallenangel327 posted some nice shots of the backside from the studiomodel in the thread to anio's Slave. I know It'll be hard to incorporate detail at such a small scale, but I'm not really happy with how the back is at the moment anyway, so I might aswell try some things there) But I'm open to suggestions If anyone has some. Stardusty Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) I love how you made such a great ship in such a small scale. Good work, bravo! Edited December 14, 2010 by Stardusty Quote
Eichhorn Posted February 5, 2011 Author Posted February 5, 2011 Okay...this took longer than expected, but here's my updated Midi Slave 1. It's quite different compared to my earlier version, tough I mainly made cosmetic changes and left the core structure untouched.More details on my flickr. Enough prep-talk. Here we go: For anyone interested in building one here is the LDD-file. Sandred and green are quite expensive, but fortunatly you won't need that many. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 It's as beautiful as ever. Really like the use of pistols to greeble the back. Quote
DS2626 Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Great job! good photography, although the cross eye thing didn't really work. Pretty nice overall shape and very close to the real thing Quote
Pet-Lego Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Very nice model, great work. The stereoscopic image is an excellent addition to view lego models. Wouldn't mind to see more stereoscopic images of lego models. (I'm quite used to the cross eye stereoscopic image views, no problems at all) Quote
Nikolas Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Hi, Greetings from 2016! This is a great model, good work on that! I'm not quite sure if this forum is still alive but I would really like to have a look on this MOC on LDD. The problem here is that rapidshare shut down all of their servers so I'm not able to access to the web page you linked above anymore. I would really appreciate it if you could reupload it somewhere else! Cheers! Quote

I would really appreciate it if you could reupload it somewhere else! Cheers! Seems easy enough to reverse engineer than it probably is to find a 6 year old topic. The pictures are pretty clear so you could build from the outside then fill it in. Otherwise, you can accumulate 10 posts, and then be able to contact the builder for the LDD file—if he is still around… Quote
Eichhorn Posted August 30, 2016 Author Posted August 30, 2016 Hi there, bzw. /endgerman: managed to dig up the lxf. It´s relativly up to date worked on the grebbling in the back a bit more, but construction-wise it should do. Sorry for necro-ing the thread, but I tried pm-ing couldn't due to him being not able to get pms. regards -Eich Midi_Slave1_2016.lxf Quote
