Oooh, I'd love to have this one. I think some more surroundings would have made it even better, after all they are what makes the building special. Still, a great set. I remember my sister's boyfriend calling me on my mobile at work (I work in a bookshop, so not the best place to pick up private calls :D) being super-excited and telling that he had just bought it.

Now I own this set. My spare parts consist in those you showed, but also in a 1x1 tan plate :sceptic: . I'm sure I was careful when I builded the model and I did'nt make mistakes... Mah!

Just got me this nice set at Legoland Guenzburg today. After the first time, I've read the Instructions I wanted this. And when built, altough not 100% accurate colour-wise, it's an Eyecatcher. And at 81€ (thanks to my Merlin year pass to Legoland, which saves me 10 percent of the hefty 90€ price. But when taken the 10 Percent off, which I'm getting with my Merlin year Pass at LEgoland Guenzburg, it's at 81€ and in Check at 10ct./piece. And assembled this looks just great. Ok it's lacking playability, but heck! it's a display piece.

I'm thinking of buying the John Hancock centre signed by the same person for $85. Would you say that this is a good deal. Would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

The original price was $20, a new one on BrickLink is about $70, and up, used for about $50-60. So for the autograph, that sounds reasonable for the going rate on that set, if its a new, sealed box.

This is one I'd really like to get, given that I've actually been to the site. If it looks too small for people to fit in it, that's because it is: it was built specifically for the Kaufmann family who were very short, and Frank Lloyd Wright didn't like wasting space. So he made pretty much every ceiling height 5 feet tall. There were some areas you'd literally have to squeeze your body to get through during the tour.

I don't know how long ago this set was retired, but the cheapest I can find it for new is around $135. Is that a good value given that it's no longer in production?

I was at Fallingwater at the end of May on vacation in Pittsburgh.. And they still had the lego set on sale.

Trying giving them a call and see if they will ship. Or if in the Pittsburgh area stop by.
