KartoffelViking Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 I am about to punch my monitor over the stupid Weightlifter. I thought I was going to get it first try, but that theme did not pan out. Then I googled a theme I knew nothing about, thought I hit pay dirt and after looking at every review in the series - BIG FAT NOTHING. Hehe, that makes two of us. At least we know he's supposed to be in a review, which narrows down the search somewhat Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 Dear Eurobricks Community, The 15th window is now up. Please note that for the very last window, it will be released a little bit later. After the 16th window is released and you have gotten all of the links correctly, you may send it to DarkFang for processing. More details will be released tomorrow. Thanks. prateek Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 This is the one I found in advance. The clue is pretty easy too. Just one more! Quote

ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 One more! Are you sure that we have to link to the post rather than the topic if it's in the first post? I mean, sometimes they're from way back and difficult to locate via search. Quote

I mean, sometimes they're from way back and difficult to locate via search. Yes, it have to be. Honestly, it's easy for you to extract the post links from the topic itself. This is to ensure that you people know which post does it comes from, even if it's at the first post. Quote
prateek Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 If a link doesn't work in the PM we send you, will you notify us or will we have to be proficient and quadruple check before we send it to you? Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 If a link doesn't work in the PM we send you, will you notify us or will we have to be proficient and quadruple check before we send it to you? This is your role to ensure. Do me and DarkFang a favour. I can't imagine how many PMs containing each (16 links) will I see and I don't want to waste time to check and re-check for you guys. Appreciate greatly. Quote

JCC1004 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Found the Mexican and Lifeguard. I mis interpreted the clue a bit. Only the Explorer left now. I'm 15 for 16. Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 But then how will you make sure if they're right? Because I will be the one to do the clicking since I have the answer sheet with me... Quote
squiz Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Finally, one i could get first time!!! Needed that, i think i would have snapped with another weightlifter'esque clue!! Expecting tough things with the explorer though Quote
TheWarden Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 OK. Question to staff, I might have missed it, but what kind of time period do we have after all minifig clues are given to find all of them? I ask, since I I am behind a few... will I have no time or weeks to research the ones I missed? Thanks. Quote

Ok, I have formally published the Mystery Treasure Hunt deadline, please take note of the timing very carefully. I won't entertain people who is going to complain the different time zone. If you have not sent the PMs to DarkFang by then, your submission will be disqualified. Please take note of the deadline of the timing. I know there are various time zone and stuff like that. CommanderFox Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 True. But I just had this mental picture of members checking 40,000 topics hoping to get lucky. Oooh didn't notice this till I saw the Announcement, I'll have to get going. Thanks staff! Yeah, I would probably have started doing that... ..in fact I almost did CF Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 Dear Eurobricks Community, I have decided to release the last window early, mainly because I am worried that I might not release it in time. Therefore, there is more time for you guys to search for the last window. At the same time, if you have not find the remaining, now this is your time to do so. Once you have gotten all 16 links correct, please drop your PM to DarkFang for processing. Thanks. JCC1004 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I just sent it in. Thanks for such a fun little hunt WhiteFang/DarkFang! Hope to see something like this for Series 3 or 4. Quote
prateek Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 PM sent. Now all we have to do is sit tight and wait for the winners! Thanks EB Staff for organizing this Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 PM sent. This was a great little contest. Thanks to all the clue-givers and organizers! It was a lot of fun and I learned about some parts of the site to which I'd never been. Quote
Jan Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Pm sent, have found the last two surprisingly fast. Great hunt, and for sure something to do again in the future. thanks, Jan Quote
Edmond Dantes Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the mystery hunt! It's been a lot of fun, but I'm still looking for the witch. It's the hardest by far for me, as I've spent hours searching for her and spent 10 minutes max on the next hardest one (the traffic cop). It's frustrating me to no end! I'm sure I just missed the little picture in one of the many threads I've searched... Edited September 9, 2010 by Edmond Dantes Quote
Stegoceras Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Just a question before I submit, do the entries have to be specifically like this? 1) *Insert the name of the Collectible Minifig* [insert Link to post] with stars and brackets? and does it need to be a link or just the url? Quote
Oky Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Is it OK if we just use the name of the fig as the text for the link rather than stating the name and then posting a link after it? Quote
Quarryman Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 And finally, PM sent. Was being quite stupid while looking for the explorer and ended up spending way too long to find it. Quote
