Posted August 27, 201014 yr It's early in the evening and the harbour master is talking with the captain of a viking ship carrying some gunpowder. When the ship landed he had to hurry so he didn't take a lot of guards with him. A bad idea, so the assassins will have an easy job. C&C welcome! Edited August 27, 201014 yr by xilefsson
August 27, 201014 yr I love this, I'm a big fan of the Assassins Creed II game and I recognize a lot of things. The assassinated Viking Captain is very nice, he really appeals to me somehow. But, an assassination is always comitted in silence right? Now you've blown up the ship and all the town guards are after the poor assassin!

Yeah, but it's really easy to escape in the giant smoke cloud of a burning ship
August 27, 201014 yr Another excellent MOC in your Assassins Creed series 'xilefsson' - I think a more quieter plan might have been better, a boat going off like a firecracker might alert the other guards ! Keep them comming 'xilefsson' and I'm a conformist! !
August 27, 201014 yr I like your MOC. Great usage of Luciuses head. The flying machine is awesome. Keep up the good work.
August 27, 201014 yr Great MOC. The idea of hiding some of the assassins below the dock is good and I sense a lot of elements from the Assassin's Creed game. I am eager to see your next MOC!

My thoughts exactly, except I often made a big scene for fun. Sometimes attracting more attention to yourself brings more guards whom are fun to kill. Great MOC. I love the detail, and numerous pics.
August 27, 201014 yr Oh, the title had me hoping you made a Lego Acre I like how you made a cross-section of the ship to show the gunpowder off [and that flying assassin is just awesome].
August 27, 201014 yr Great models, nice storyline. As for the Photoshop, if you'll allow me, might I suggest using quickmask or some of the lasso tools to select the backgrounds before deleting them-- you'll get a cleaner edge and less of that extraneous residue on your images. If I only had photoshop...I'm using GIMP at the moment and I have to admit that all the tools you can use for deleting a background are very slow and don't work as smooth as in photoshop.
August 27, 201014 yr The MOC is pretty good, but the poor photo editing takes away from the experience rather than improve it. If I only had photoshop...I'm using GIMP at the moment and I have to admit that all the tools you can use for deleting a background are very slow and don't work as smooth as in photoshop. GIMP is actually surprisingly good, if you know what to do. Just increase the brightness and contrast as much as possible (without losing the original color), and increase the paintbucket tolerance enough so that you get smooth edges. Then go back and cover up anything else with the paintbrush tool. Here's something I recently edited following those steps (not bad, huh?):

August 27, 201014 yr Nice MOC. I think the little story you've made to go with it is fun as well. I've never played the game it was based on, but I still appreciate good Lego when I see it. :-)

August 28, 201014 yr Well done on this scene! All the little details you put into it really sell it for me, such as running people, the flames, the frightened guard, it all works so brilliantly! Also, speaking as a would be assassin in most role playing games, the flashiest kills are ALWAYS the most fun
