Good Cheer Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 We just put together an Exoforce set (8113) The minifigure Takeshi has cool green hair but it doesn't stay on well. It's a dual sided face so it doesn't make sense to glue it permanently covering one of the face choices. Any suggestions for getting it to stay on? Thanks! Quote

When I have had the problem in the past with minifigs whose hair is franctionally large for their heads, I have used a tiny ball of Blu-Tac on the stud of the head. Holds it well enough so that it doesn't keep falling off but is easy to remove. Cheers Rog Quote
VBBN Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Unfortunatly there is no real way to secure it well, you could put an extrmely thin drab of superglue along the edge of the stud, let it dry, then put the hair on, but otherwise there isn't much to be done. Or use a tac of somesort like rriggs said. Quote

Brickthing Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Let us know if the rriggs' or VBBN's solutions work for you so that we can close the topic, but in a mean time I'll move this to the Sci-Fi forum where it Exo-Force belongs. Quote
badboytje88 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Covering the top of the head in tin foil helps too. Quote

Thanks for moving it to the right place! I'm new here so I wasn't entirely certain myself. I'll post again in the coming days when we resolve it. Quote
Dunjohn Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Thanks for the idea! Haven't used that stuff in years, but it sounds like it would do the trick. A house without Blu-Tac? What kind of crazy upside-down world do you live in!? But seriously, the Blu-Tac idea is the one I'd reccommend too, hopefully the hairpiece isn't too non-sticky for it to work. I have the same problems with all of my Exo-Force hairpieces but it's not really an issue since they're mostly standing still on display. Quote
Corydoras Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Well, after finding out that Ha-Ya-To's hairpiece from 8106 doesn't stay on well, I e-mailed the LEGO customer service. They were very polite and despite the fact that Exo-Force is no longer supported they sent me a replacement one that's tight as hell! Quote
hewkii9 Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Another suggestion would be to take a tiny piece of saran wrap and put that between the head and hair. Quote
