September 3, 201014 yr The Pilot has little boobies ;) (same torso as juno eclipse) Anyways awesome review about an awesome set!
September 3, 201014 yr I think the designer was from Sweden, as the set comes with two IKEA-styled keys which you use to open and close the side stabilizers. Actually, he's from Poland. And the set is based to some extent on a fan's model. Check if you haven't seen it yet.
September 3, 201014 yr Nice review, HJR - thanks for sharing. Mine arrived earlier today, and I'm even more excited about building it now thanks to your review ! Just a quick note about the box - I think it looks absolutely awesome. LEGO have really done a great job on the packaging for the Summer 2010 wave of sets, and the Imperial Shuttle is for me the best of the lot. Cheers, Dr. D.
September 3, 201014 yr Such a great looking model, I really love the whole design, the massive feel...but...I'm disappointed in some drawbacks. Why couldn't the landing gear on such an expensive model be incoroporated and retractable (like the one from the Polish AFoL builder)? Stickers??? C'mon. Again with an expensive set these things need to be printed. Over time the stickers are gonna' peel off, crack, etc (maybe glue them and seal them). The name plate w/specs for sure has to be printed. And for me...I think they should've really made some exclusive re-designs on the mini-figs to give you a truly special kit. Man, I got so many gripes but this model looks so beautiful, it's real tempting...maybe...

September 3, 201014 yr oh wow! what a beast that thing is!! Now im really envious Thanks for the fantastic review HJR! CF
September 3, 201014 yr I can't wait till mine arrives, the set looks absolutely fantastic, thank for whetting my appetite with this thorough in depth review.
September 3, 201014 yr The Pilot has little boobies ;) (same torso as juno eclipse) Anyways awesome review about an awesome set! No it's the same torso as the Death Star Trooper. Juno's torso has her rank badge and the seams of her tunic curve inwards with her 'waist'. Take a look here. The Imperial Pilot is just buff!
September 3, 201014 yr Nice review of a great set, I think that one day all this one of these will be mine . Anybody know how long you can display a white Lego model before it starts to look tan?
September 3, 201014 yr Excellent review, thanks a lot! Especially like the comparison shots, has really made my mind up that I need to get this set! Looking forward to seeing your future reviews :)
September 3, 201014 yr Arrgh. Delivery man turned up with mine this afternoon whilst I was out, so I'll have to wait for a redelivery on monday. Too excited and impatient. Wonder if I can justify buying a Slave 1 to tide me over in the mean time....
September 4, 201014 yr Thanks HJR. Damn you were quick getting this review in! I was tempted not to look at the pictures and avoid spoilers but the power of the dark side was too strong. Nice work! My shuttles in the mail- like others out there its proved cheaper (by a large amount) to buy the set overseas and have it imported. With the savings made I might just be able to get my hands on 10215! (In some parallel universe where market economics establish rational Lego prices that is)!
September 4, 201014 yr The Collector's Card has always been a sticker, to the best of my knowledge. Correct. Stickers in these UCS sets is nothing new. I can still remember my frustration at picking up a used UCS snowspeeder from Ebay and finding multiple pieces covered by single stickers. I get the feeling that LEGO are getting better when it comes to this, however. I'm even wondering if it's one of the reasons why LEGO have now started making larger tile pieces, e.g. 2 x 4, available. Dr. D.

September 4, 201014 yr Thanks for the review 'HJR'! Looks like quite a nice set. I'll start saving my pennies and hopefully this baby will be on sale in May. *crossing fingers*

The 6x12(14?) with smooth middle, or something like that? WHAT????? The designer was from POLAND!! :D The designer is from Denmark.
September 4, 201014 yr Thankyou for taking the time to make your review HJR. This is a beautiful set which captures the sleekness and fuctionality of this ship very well. I own quite a few of the UCS Starwars sets. Unfortunately due to the price ($450.00 Australian), 10212 will not be joining them - a shame as the shuttle is one of my favourite ships (due more to the old x-wing series PC games, rather than the movies). Thanks also for the photo of all three together. I own the two smaller models and wandered what the three would look like together - and now I know!
September 5, 201014 yr Nice review HJR! I like big sets and I wanted to see a review about this. But I am a bit disappointed. The only fun part to build was the main hull. +1 for the Technic Parts! I love those huge gears! I haven't seen them for a long time in one of my Technic sets.
September 5, 201014 yr Thank you for the review. Looks like a great set, although I can't decide whether to get it or not at the moment. And going by current conversion rates, it seems the US is getting it around £70 cheaper than the UK (Lego Shop prices) Edited September 5, 201014 yr by Adam the Ant
