Posted September 2, 201014 yr Duel in Armadillo's street : A little Western MOC totally inspired by the game Red Dead Redemption. I'm a little disapointed by the pictures, because I spent a lot of time for designing the wall of the saloon, but with the minifigs, everything is maske ! I hope you will like it anyway ! Like always, the pictures are link to bigger versions. Thanks for your comments or criticism.
September 2, 201014 yr Very nice! I like the techniques to build the bull skull and the building! What torso did you use to make the gentleman in the tophat? it looks really nice! One thing I might to is make the saloon one story taller, and make a balcony. I'm a conformist!!
September 2, 201014 yr I love the sign, great use of the PoP arches. The colour scheme is also great with the brown and tan and the two colour splashes on each of the duellers. I also like how you use the base for some extra details, it's becoming more and more common and I enjoy it If I would change anything it would be the rail, I don't think the droid arms work very well actually. Otherwise I find it hard to give any tips, it's a really nice MOC
September 2, 201014 yr The first that really caught my attention was that hair piece on the roof! Awesome vulture!
September 3, 201014 yr Wow great MOC I love that vulture and skull Very nice! I like the techniques to build the bull skull and the building! What torso did you use to make the gentleman in the tophat? it looks really nice! One thing I might to is make the saloon one story taller, and make a balcony. I'm a conformist!! He used the Vampire torso from collectable minifigures series two
September 3, 201014 yr The vulture is awesome! The skull at the bottom of the MOC is also very well done
September 3, 201014 yr It's the vulture for me too - that's very clever indeed ! Fantastic designing there '74louloute' and I'm a conformist! !
September 3, 201014 yr Awesome! I love the little scene! My only disappointment is that it didn't contain an actual LEGO armadillo.
September 3, 201014 yr Great MOC 74louloute. The setup looks very good. I like the details (vulture, cowskull) and the use of the new minifig parts. Man, do I love the new female hairpiece of the singer.
September 3, 201014 yr Awesome MOC, i really like the scene but 1 question if you mind? How did you do that Buffalos(Cows skull? ITS AWESOME!! Very well desing for that And the whole MOC has very... Touching feeling if you undertsand what i mean? Captain Becker
September 4, 201014 yr Awesome MOC, i really like the scene but 1 question if you mind? How did you do that Buffalos(Cows skull? ITS AWESOME!! Very well desing for that And the whole MOC has very... Touching feeling if you undertsand what i mean? Captain Becker I believe the main bulk of the skull is a foot/leg off a skeleton, and the horns are teeth.
September 4, 201014 yr It is always tricky to come up with a unique Western MOC lately, however you have managed this quiet well. The balcony, doors curtains, roof and the holsters are great. Perhaps the only thing I would suggest to change is to make the tan base less symmetrical, it just looks far to neat for a frontier western town to have a perfectly manicured sand pit out front . Great job 74, you always manage to make great stuff. If I would change anything it would be the rail, I don't think the droid arms work very well actually. Otherwise I find it hard to give any tips, it's a really nice MOC I actually like the railings, they dont obscure the background action.
September 4, 201014 yr Ooh, very very nice indeed! What makes this a truly wonderful MOC are the small but great details - the vulture, the use of black hands in the underside of the roof, the walls, wooden door, etc. The MOC really captures the classic western feel in it, very impressive job 74louloute!
September 4, 201014 yr Author Thanks everybody for your comments, it's always a pleasure to read them ! What torso did you use to make the gentleman in the tophat? it looks really nice! As said by Darth Jar Jar, it's the Vampire torso from collectible serie 2 : it's a really nice torso ! Man, do I love the new female hairpiece of the singer. Yes, I find this one far more realist than the previous long hair. How did you do that Buffalos(Cows skull? ITS AWESOME!! Very well desing for that The skull is made with a jumper plate and a skeleton leg, linked by a white rubber band. Two cow horns are clipsed in the leg's clip. The stud of the jumper is attached in a brick 1x2 with hole. It's great, but really fragile ! Great job 74, you always manage to make great stuff. Thanks so much ISC, it means a lot coming from a Mocer like you !
September 6, 201014 yr Wow! Every detail is awesome. I love the saloon doors, and the holsters look really cool. The poncho looks really nice too
September 7, 201014 yr This is a great moc! A very classic western look with lots of great details. The sign is lovely, as are all the other details such as the curtains and the skull which all help to bring this moc to life. Good work
