the teutonic knight Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Here are is a new decal I made. It's a French Line Infantry. It would be nice if someone could put these in the pirate decal index. Quote
Nosaj Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 it looks okay, and its always nice to have the classic bluecoat decals. I dont really use decals, but who knows, maybe i will Quote
Fugazi Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Your decal doesn't seem to fit the shape of a minifig, have you tested it first? Or you could use an existing decal as a model. Quote
Captain Becker Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 If i can be honest, its afful. First of all, it not suit in lego torso, secondly... you decals.... well they are horrible. try to yourself to out this on lego minifig and then you see what i mean Sorry for being rude but its true, you need to practise of Decal making. Darth Yogi Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I have to agree with Captain Becker. Nothing is lined up and the straps don't cross over like that. I'm sure that if you keep trying you'll get it. Quote
BrickPerfection Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I have to agree what already has been said: The decal lacks any kind of detail and it isn't even symmetric. Try to use some decals from the index to find the right form. If you keep practicing, you'll get there some day. Quote

Zorro Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 A bit less 'awfull and horribleness' and more creative and helpfull critic would be fine, and that counts for everyone people. I know it looks amateuristic and the creator admits that, but let's stimulate each other to continue working on our hobby. Also try watch your spelling some of you, never use 'i', it's always I with a capital letter. Don't speeden your typing, but think about quality. That makes it easier to understand for everyone, this is not a chatroom after all. Many thanks from your friendly neighbourhood-moderator! Quote

Nosaj Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 (edited) Hey, I actually played around on MS Paint a little, and made a similar decal that may be a little bit more of what you were going for... I changed it a good deal, but it still has some of the main details of yours... well, here it is... feel free to use it if you want, as I probably wont I made your coat lines curved, added a collar, and moved the buttons... it looks okay i think, good for my first decal anyway Edited September 6, 2010 by Nosaj Quote

I tried to keep it fairly simple, but i guess the plain white in the may be a little to simple thanks for the feedback Edited September 6, 2010 by Nosaj Quote
