Legoman1979z Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 This is really confusing... Question: 1. what is a Vignette?? 2. (9. One entry per person. An entry must include a picture (no larger than 800x600) showing the vignette without the minifigure you built it for. Include the name (type) of that minifigure and the theme that you have done. Other minifigures may appear in the pictures. You may include up to 2 more images following the same rules. If you choose to take additional pictures, you may link to an outside gallery. # Digital backgrounds are allowed. First you state "One entry per person".. then you go on to say "You may include up to 2 more images following the same rules."~~ wouldn't that be 3 entries? So let me make sure I understand correctly.. The task at hand is to build a small scaled model either 8*8 or 16*16 using all pieces up to the series 1 released pieces from lego. In order to build a series 2 set. Category A is strictly for series 2 and Category B is for series 1 and two combined. You many not use any series 2 pieces in either of the two scales sets.. I am not really sure if you are allowed to make 1 , 2 , or 3 pictures.. or if you can make a little story board like a comic book.. or if all three pictures can be separate submissions. can you post some examples to clarify?? thank you Quote

Siegfried Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 1. what is a Vignette?? Short answer; a small MOC of a scene. You can find some details here. First you state "One entry per person".. then you go on to say "You may include up to 2 more images following the same rules."~~ wouldn't that be 3 entries? No, just three images of the same MOC. I can't agree or disagree to that. Please read the rules again. I am not really sure if you are allowed to make 1 , 2 , or 3 pictures.. or if you can make a little story board like a comic book.. or if all three pictures can be separate submissions. Three images of the same MOC. One submission. can you post some examples to clarify?? Errr.... no. That would take too long. But look at this contest; the concept is similar. Quote
Inconspicuous Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Wow! I didn't realize there would be another contest for Series 2! This sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. I'm not sure if I'll have time to enter, but I'm sure everyone who does will have some fantastic ideas and entries. Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 Come on everyone! Put on your thinking cap. I am sure Category A is very much familiar for most of you, but I am very interested and looking forward to the ideas for Category B. It will be fun! Thanks Siegfried for helping to answer the questions above. Quote
Ceroknight Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Anyone can enter. So your saying if someone won in Canada, the prize will be shipped all the way here, with no cost of shipping and handling? Eurobrick is awesome Quote

You are good in this, especially after having to practice Series 1 and Series 2 together. I am sure you will come out with something real original. Quote
Darth Jar Jar Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 (edited) Yes. Yep Eurobricks is awsome and I already got my idea... EDIT: Are we allowed two off the series one minigigures in category b? Edited September 6, 2010 by Darth Jar Jar Quote
SilentMode Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 I'm in! And maybe this time I'll win a point Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 EDIT: Are we allowed two off the series one minigigures in category b? I wonder if I understood your question correctly. You are only allow to choose to use one minifigure from Series 1 to interact with an imaginary minifigure in Series 2. Quote

Yes but you said that we can use parts off the minifigures series one so why cant we use two off the minifigures series one? Sorry im just a bit confused Edited September 6, 2010 by Darth Jar Jar Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 Yes but you said that we can use parts off the minifigures series one so why cant we use two off the minifigures series one? Sorry im just a bit confused I meant using only "parts" and I don't mean using those parts to form the exact same minifigure inside Series 1 twice which is why I mention only having one designated minifigure in the storyline. However, using those Series 1 parts to construct a brand new minifigure to compliment the storyline is allow. Quote
