Evil Willy Posted May 5, 2006 Author Posted May 5, 2006 Actually no, I think I didnt make my point clear. What she said was "You should go for something funny, for all the things serious ive seen in past years are often a failure(To please the crowd)" This is simply because a lot of young people arn't so good at making a very serious script, and keeping it interesting. It hard to shoot a good movie with handheld cameras and what most people use "iMovie" The fact is though, my movie is rather serious, but has hints of 21st century in it and some crude humor. If I wanted the movie completly serious I could. I actually did change a few lines and remove some things that sounded weird. It shall be good. Atleast I believe. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 5, 2006 Governor Posted May 5, 2006 Ahhh but what is important Evil Willy, pleasing the crowd or pleasing yourself? Quote
Evil Willy Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 I am pleasing myself, its rather funny. But were filming today and need to find somekind of ship decor...Gosh I have no idea how we will do that Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 8, 2006 Governor Posted May 8, 2006 You don't happen to have an abandon wine cellar or old wooden shed you can access? Quote
Evil Willy Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 No I dont, but now half the filming complete. The movie looks slightly bootleged. Its nothing SPECTACULAR. Our ship is actually a Taco. Hmm, im not sure what its called in other countrys. Its like a piece of wood...With wheels. Yes so it aint no Pirates of the carribean setting. But I think it will be enjoyable. Some of the inside setting is pretty nice. But once again, you will probabley see lamps in back, and things you would not have seen then. Be patient everyone, it will come.... :D:D:D Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 10, 2006 Governor Posted May 10, 2006 You used a Taco for your ship? Explain to the audience how this works.... Quote
Evil Willy Posted May 18, 2006 Author Posted May 18, 2006 It doesnt..Its silly, but it rolls and my fellow pirates and I could sit on it...I dont have a big galleon in my back yard! Too bad ;) As for the movie half of it has been filmed, we will be filming the rest the weekend of the 27th. Farewell! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 18, 2006 Governor Posted May 18, 2006 I don't suppose you have any still images of which you refer to? Be interesting to get a behind the scenes look while you're making this film. Quote
Evil Willy Posted May 21, 2006 Author Posted May 21, 2006 Ahh yes now be ready for a paused frame looks bad. The video tself is much better but here is anyways...two pictures from my famous movie :D First scene whilst heading to port " " The 2nd scene within General Griffens office Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 21, 2006 Governor Posted May 21, 2006 Evil Willy this looks like its a lot fun! Exactly when is this story set, back in the 16th or 17th centuries or is it a modern tale? The reason I ask is a lot to do with the electric lamp in the first image. If it was set in the 16th or 17th century the prescence of such technology would be somewhat amusing adding to the comedy factor. Quote
Captain Ironhook Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 evil willy are you making your own pirate movie? how will you share it with everyone here? i dont know how to play movies off the internet on my computer so are you going to release it on dvd? Quote

Well we could either imagine that it is actually a candle within....Or add to the comedy factor. I have to say its a bit of both. The story really is set in the 16th century, but this is to be debated...I would base it in "Monty pythons quest for the holy grail era" although we dont get arrested by cops at the end :D evil willy are you making your own pirate movie? how will you share it with everyone here? i dont know how to play movies off the internet on my computer so are you going to release it on dvd? When it is done I will be compressing it and releasing it on google video. You should have no problem ;) Edit: im the one on the left in the second picture. *Drinking* Quote
Evil Willy Posted May 22, 2006 Author Posted May 22, 2006 I would have to say though that it is not that funny...Rather good. Quote
Evil Willy Posted May 30, 2006 Author Posted May 30, 2006 The movie has been completed. But the last two scenes somehow ended up having squares all over the footage. So we are planning on re-filming those two scenes next weekend. But of course this is not 100% sure. I will be posting the movie online within the next few days. Thank you for your patience, hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. Quote

Evil Willy Posted June 17, 2006 Author Posted June 17, 2006 OK the size of the movie is 111mb in Mpeg and 82 in AVI. I just need somewhere to host it with. So tole_11 if you think this can work, then hook me up! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 19, 2006 Governor Posted June 19, 2006 Evil Willy, did you look into temporary hosting sites like YouSendIt.com? Don't forget there's also free web hosting services that give you upto 1GB of space. Of course they might not let you upload files as big as 111MB, but as I haven't looked into them I can't be sure what the maximum file size is. Quote
Evil Willy Posted June 19, 2006 Author Posted June 19, 2006 I don't know anything of webhosting...So I really cant do anthing right now. Quote
