the Inventor Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 A really well build MOC, Matn. I really like the Tudor style of the train station, and your own made signs that give that little finishing touch. But what I like best is the footbridge with all those angles. And the rock work on the building is also really great. the Inventor Quote
Smack Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 An absolute brillant piece of work. This IMHO is your best HP work to date. I personnaly can't wait to see the whole layout togther. It will be the talk of EB and front-paged for sure. Looking forward to your next work! Quote
It All Ends Here Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 WOW! It's wonderful! I really love it. I like it that you have used the Clocktower clock on the Station! Quote
Wout Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 This is great! If only TLC made just something like this. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 This is absolutely fine! I wonder how you didn't place this work in the train forum ...you would have win the "first prize" Too many details, the things I love are: the bed room (the bed is awesome), the stairs and the decals Bravo! -JD- Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 (edited) Simply awesome MOC, Matn! It looks so realistic for a LEGO station, with the different textures and colours making it look very proffesional. I'd love to see the new Hogwarts Express at the station, if you get it. EDIT: One more post to go! Edited September 11, 2010 by Jammiedodger714 Quote
Flare Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Wow, extremely impresssive MOC here! You are quite the master. Quote
marvinblue Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 This is a beautiful MOC! Well done on completing this masterpiece. Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Beautiful station, well worth the wait. I love the colors. Quote
Blackicep8ntball Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Matn, this is a beautiful MOC. It's one of the most satisfyingly complete builds I've seen in a while - it just doesn't leave the viewer with a sense of "well it's good, but would be better if...". Your photography is quite good too. That's a big work with a lot of potential shadows and glare, and you managed to capture fantastic images. Thanks for sharing! Quote
Matn Posted September 15, 2010 Author Posted September 15, 2010 (edited) Again, thanks for the kind words! I wonder how you didn't place this work in the train forum ...you would have win the "first prize" I totally forgot to say this, but this was actually going to be an entry for the Eurobricks Train Contest, a year ago! I made the roof in August, then the ground floor of the building and a small part of the second floor, but it wasn't ready in time and I felt bad for not entering then. I ought to have worked harder on it back then, but I've adjusted a lot of things I probably wouldn't have incorporated a year ago. Oh, and I'm also going to make a topic in the MCW forum with my custom decals in the future, when I have made decals for other shops. I'm sure people could use them of someone would make something of the grounds of Hogwarts. Edited September 15, 2010 by Matn Quote
