johnsocal Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Here’s my custom Mandalorian Fighter craft. Servant 1- Mandalorian small tactical fighter craft built by Kuat Engineering Systems Gallery of Mocs - http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=johnsocal Quote
captaintau Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Nice. Very good. *y* One question, to pick holes in your story rather than model: You suggest that Boba reforms the Mandalorians and therefore new "Slave"-type ships are created. Yet you also say they're made by Kuat. Kuat stopped making the Firespray after Slave I was half-inched by Jango. Why would they pick up the line 50-whatever years later? Surely any new ships have nothing to do with Kuat? Quote

Surely any new ships have nothing to do with Kuat? After Boba Fett rediscovers the source of Mandamental the Mandalorians become very wealthy by selling Mandametal to anyone who will pay their extremely high prices. This new properity also gives them the financial ability to create new highly fortified/secured manufacturing facilities to produce mass amounts of Mandalorian armor for the new reborn Mandalorian army. When Boba visited Kuat he negotiated a deal with them (one they couldn't refuse ) to be the sole supplier of all new Mandalorian ships and Boba wanted these new crafts to be instantly recognizable to the infamous Slave 1 that's renown throughout the entire galaxy to symbolize the he is indeed the new Mandalore. When someone (friend or foe) came in contact with one of the new Mandalorian ships they knew exactly who they were dealing with. Boba had his pilots adopt an orange color scheme as well as a sign of respect for the rebel pilots who defeated the Empire at the battle of Endor. In Boba's opinion those pilots had all the odds against them and were true underdogs, but were able to defeat their adversary by skill and determination. I just made that up- but I hope that helps. Makes sense I just made that up- but I hope that helps. Looked like you did, too. But still good job. Quick thinking X-D Quote
Piranha Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 :-) Good Job Hmm wow this is a pretty old topic :-D My only question is: How did you get so many of those Jango Fett helmets X-D ?? Is that a custom decal the pilot has on? Okay that was two but oh well Thanks if you can answer and if not............... ;-) Piranha EDIT:No I am serious where did you get so many? I would like to buy some if they are available Thanks Quote
Corvus Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 After Boba Fett rediscovers the source of Mandamental the Mandalorians become very wealthy by selling Mandametal to anyone who will pay their extremely high prices. I just made that up- but I hope that helps. He was one of the richest individuals in the galaxy before he found the Mandametal. With all that money, the only company he'd chose would be Kuat. Nice moc, very nice. *yoda* is right- it does look a bit like a snow speeder. Though I doubt Boba would chose the name 'servant-1'- not likely to strike fear into the hearts of the enemy. I think I can answer your question, Piranha- 1. I think the helmets were on sale on the pick-a-brick shelves in the lego stores. 2. Forgot what the theme was, but the torso there is from an old alien theme. Quote
iamded Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Very nice! I love the design, and colour combination. I love orange. *wub* It's a great colour. Quote
Silver Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 (edited) Do you sell the figs, if you do, how much do you sell them for Edited November 5, 2009 by KimT quote removed Quote
Skipper 24 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 (edited) Hey there Silver. Seeming as you're new I guess you don't the rules around here too well. I won't go over them in full detail because I'm not a mod around here but 'Bumping' topics isn't really appreciated. Also I would PM (I think you need 10 posts+) Johnsocal if you're interested in the minifigs. Trades usually take place in the BSTF forum. Also nice ship Johnsocal. I love the colour scheme . KimT Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 As odd as it may seem, this bumpin' has brought my attention to this MOC. Why isn't this indexed? I'll make sure to add this in the next index round. Quote
CommanderFox Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 (edited) As odd as it may seem, this bumpin' has brought my attention to this MOC.Why isn't this indexed? Bumping must be good sometimes, if a MOC hasn't been indexed. I haven't seen this MOC before so it's nice to see it now. I really like the colour scheme! Also it does have a very strong resemblence to the old Firespray, I recon Kuat could have started releaseing them again, abit differently. It's just like Lego do Re-releases of sets. So could Kuat with Firesprays. CommanderFox Edited November 5, 2009 by CommanderFox Quote
ILikePi Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I have to agree, bumping some topics can be good sometimes, even if the "bump" post isn't that good. But for a second I thought that xwingyoda came back to EB, then I saw the date of the post... Anyways, great ship! The color scheme is interesting and it looks just as good as the official sets! Also the use of "servant" instead of "slave" is funny. Quote
CommanderFox Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 But for a second I thought that xwingyoda came back to EB, then I saw the date of the post... Me too!! I was thinking just that. Yay xwingyoda's back!, oh that was like 2 years ago. CommanderFox Quote
Big Cam Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I think this is an interesting ship, especially for 3 years ago, the pieces represent that time nicely. I tell you what, if I was ever at a LEGO store and they had helemts of any kind in the PaB area, I would go broke buying them all. Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 But for a second I thought that xwingyoda came back to EB, then I saw the date of the post... I never even realised xwingyoda left EB! Anyhoo, great MOC with great colour scheme. Quote

CommanderFox And so did you I never even realised xwingyoda left EB!Anyhoo, great MOC with great colour scheme. And so did you. Can we please move on? If you're that happy about him, why not just join-up on Brickhorizon.com? He's there now and I'm kinda getting annoyed about your constant yappin' about Yoda. Vader was moderator here as well and others have come and gone. Get over it! Quote
