Nosaj Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 (edited) Hey everybody. I am going to begin working on my new MOC Ship soon, but I am not sure what way I would be best off doing the front end, so I figured I might as well make a nice little post where everybody can share different ways of making front ends, and we can all learn some new styles. Now, this will be my first serious MOC ship so I do not have to much knowledge to share. The best way I really understand is CBH's front end from his Build a frigate! guide.(CBH, I hope you dont mind that I am "borrowing" your brickshelf guide as a resource, and if you wish, I can take it out in a heartbeat) So please everybody, post some of your favorite front end techniques! Pictures are always helpfull aswell. PS. I was slightly unsure if this would fall under the discussion forum or MOC forum, so if I was incorrect, please do move it and yell at me MODs... I have also done my best to make sure this topic wasnt already around, but if I missed it, please tell me or whatever Edited September 12, 2010 by Nosaj Quote
Nosaj Posted September 13, 2010 Author Posted September 13, 2010 I have come across another way... The way it is done on some LEGO ships, such as the 2010 Imperial Flagships, so if anybody knows how that is done, please explain because it looks very good. Quote

Captain Green Hair Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 You're all free to use my techniques, that is why I post them. Good luck on your ship! Quote

Thanks to you too Captain Becker (to bad with computers to figure out how to get your quote aswell ). It will take me a little while to find the front in all of that, but it may be worth it! Edit: never mind... it ended up being pretty easy to find Edited September 13, 2010 by Nosaj Quote

Yeah, I was looking further into it today, and with one stud hoding it on, you are right... although I was doing some more design thinking, and I may know what I am doing, but everybody will have to wait until I have enough stuff to start a thread on the MOC forum showing my progress as I make it to see just what I do...
