ThePurpleLegoBrick Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Hey does anyone know of a place to buy knock off legos in the states(preferably in Mexico because I am about to move there for my parents job *sigh*) other than megabloks best lock and superblox? I know they won't be good but I want a good idea of how BAD they are. I know in wilkinsons in the UK you guys can get Sluban (oh how I wish i had some of their military line) but the dollar stores here, although everything else seems to be made in china, they stick to Lego and megabloks. Thanks guys! ~TPLB Quote
Siegfried Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Non-LEGO goes in community... and three animated images in your sig (plus one in your avatar) is way too much. Quote

Peppermint_M Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Afraid I can't help with stores in the US. eBay has a lot of cheap clone brands often enough. Search terms like "fits lego", "like Lego" and "Lego Compatible" always bring up a few brands and sets. In my experience, they are rarely overly costly. Quote

Ricecracker Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 thanks. but what I put in my sig is my decision. Actually, it's not. You might want to brush up on the Site Guidelines, and read this thread. Quote
The Legonater Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 thanks. but what I put in my sig is my decision. Listen, I realise you're new, so I'll shoot it straight (That's how the saying goes, right?) 1, never talk that way to an admin. It's just rude 2, There's rules on you sigs, so if the admins don't like, you probably want to change it. Quote

No problem. But for future referance, check Prateek's links for all the rules you msot likely don't want to break. Quote

Yeah online purchase (ebay) is the way to go if you really want to get these cheap lego clone brands, but the shipping cost might offset the relatively low prices of these, but they're still very much affordable. Here in our country, cheap lego knock-offs cost around US$0.50 for the smallest box, though the quality is really crappy. Quote
