This will be quite a complex set for 1H with that gearbox system, cool :)

Steering

Suspension

4-Gear transmission with powered Left door, Right Door, Rear Spoiler or Boot/Trunk and Bonnet/Hood

V6 or V8 Technic engine

Headlights?

Can't wait to see the B-Model!

This looks like a nice set, but I wouldn't say that it is a super car in the same vein as the previous ones. The scale is smaller than that of previous super cars, going by the wheels it uses. If it has a transmission for changing functions, it's very unlikely that there will be another one for the drivetrain.

Still, the functions are unusual and I like how they are trying something new with it. Some of the function concepts are a bit odd (like the motorized hood) but they should result in some interesting mechanisms.

Not bad, not bad at all.

But:

It's definately no SuperCar!

Color is so obvious!

I expect it to be HOG steared only!

Wouldn't it be nice if the functions were pneumatic innsteed of mechanical?

At least I've got an idea what i'm going to do in March....

Just to let you guys know, i'm not all about critisizing everything I see, I hate doing that. When ever something I like turns up i'll happily say it's great, so when something I actually like comes along i'll let you know

The body styling and headlight configuration make it look like a Dodge Viper to me. If that was an inspiration, it should have been blue!

I like the model, but the wheels are kind of weak. There are several cool wheel covers to choose from which could have been used. I guess we

can add them. Chrome wheels would be even better. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but I wonder if there is any chance that the rear wheels will be the larger size from the 8146 Nitro Muscle.

I like the scissor doors.

There are no stickers now, but this is a very early image so we could still end up with them.

That supercar was definitely not was I was expecting. IMO it doesn't appear to be anything exciting at all and not very inspired. Yeah, It has motor functions that open the doors and hood and moves the spoiler. Also, why isn't the black flex axle pushed the whole way in on the front spoiler? I don't like when things are built this way. HOG steering and no signs of a suspension. I just really had my hopes up for something much differnt. :cry_sad:

The image on the box shows that the wheels go up and down, so it does have suspension.

I'm with Pauger. You can't tell from the pictures, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has mini-LAs.

I'm glad it's not a Lamborghini, though I am disappointed that it's red.

Also, Dano got around Flickr's copyright rules by posting his pics elsewhere.

EDIT by Staff: No more links to the prelim pics please!

I do see that now. I agree with Pauger that spoiler does look horrible. :hmpf_bad:

:oh3: Looks awesome, reminds me of one of favourite cars. It'll be interesting to see the gearbox, but otherwise looks a little light on functions. I hope the price reflects this.

P.S. How slow is this going to be with that giant anvil of a battery box and a M motor

Edit, the motor is for the functions, duh.

That's exactly how I feel as well.

Paul has a write up on his site with his speculations on the 8070 set. I don't think it has a working steering wheel, but I could be wrong :sceptic: I do think he is right about the functions being between the front seats and operating it through the sun roof. :classic:

I urge to write Lego

The letter concerning color of the car

Orange, dark blue or even a lime

No more links to the prelim pics please! It does look better in blue though...

I would kill for a green one.

Lime parts keep cracking although I do not use them and store them hidden from light and humidity.

The battery box is obviously in the rear section of the car, so where does that leave the controls for the 4 opening/moving features for the doors, hood, and spoiler?

If you look closely at the picture of that 4 speed transmission, you will see that it is broken down into the same section with 4 numbered functions as well. That is not a an actual transmission. It seems to be made very clear that it operates the doors, hoods, spoiler. I think he is right about that one. Still can't see anything that proves the steering theory.

I vote for dark blue.

This car is actually growing on me a little, it's certainly better than 8063 but that's not saying much. Not sure it's quite worth the price just yet.
