Sorry for the double post, but I found this on brickset. Apparently it was given out as a "gift to LEGO employees and business partners". Too bad it's not more widely available since it looks like a good parts pack with that snow-covered tree, trans-neon sea star, and all those brown and tan bits.

I think this might be the first LEGO rarity I really want. It hits many of my current obsessions. Shame I can't order it from LEGO.com, but there ya go.

I really like the frog game. It is a good parts pack.

The banana game is also a good parts pack with all those bananas. :classic:

Edit: Is that a regular orange crab in Sunblock? If so, yay!

I'm curious - do the older Lego fans buy these for the pieces or for the actual game? And are the figs unique to the games, or can you find them elsewhere?

1. I usually buy the games for pieces. I remember that these game are made for kids, so IMO the game/gameplay can sometimes be boring or lame.

2. Making a game to minifigure scale would be hard and expensive for LEGO, and regular figures on a small board would look terrible. So, lego made Microfigures for these games. They are smaller, and do not have any arms or legs. And as far as I know, each game has different Microfigures.

Hope I answered your questions!

I bought Magikus for parts. Now I can't take parts because I feel in love in this game and even upgraded it a little. I added some parts, made a new dice and I get an amazing race game! Lego games are the best!

Lego Bananas grow on palm trees, interesting...

Reminds me of once trying to convince somebody that gummi-bears grow on trees...

The happy holidays game has great reindeers

See, I've got a niche place for boardgames in my heart (Runebound, Castle Ravenloft, House on Haunted Hill, etc). So I was unsure if these would seem...I don't know, grossly watered down or not. But if any of the pieces are worth buying some of the games for, I'll keep an eye out for sales on these suckers.

Out of the LEGO board games released thus far, I have Monster 4, Ramses Pyramid, Oriental Bazaar and Hogwarts, and the best thing in them is that they all come with magnificent rare or exclusive parts. Out of these new ones, I have my eyes on the Banana Balance and the Frog Rush games, purely because of the parts they provide.

I agree that the LEGO board games aren't anything special game-wise, though - and I should know as a board game enthusiast. We have well over 50 board games in the cabinet next to my LEGO cabinet.

How do you mean palm tree?

That palm tree is made with technic pieces (brown curved connectors and probably red axles) on 2x2 curved brick with

axle hole in the middle and palm tree top on which is leaves.

I can make it in LDD if you want, but I think you know how it is builded.

Is there anyone who knows more about theese four boardgames?

3857 Heroica Draida

3858 Heroica Waldurk

3859 Heroica Nathuz

3860 Heroica Fortaan

What I know is that they can be combined to expand the board and thus get a bigger playingfield.

I got a quick look at some pictures of them yesterday but it weren't exactly clear what the goal of the games were. However one intresting thing I noticed were that one game comes with small doors that fits theese windows.

Yeah, I don't see why one would think this is a palm tree either. :look: Either way, Banana trees do look similar to palm trees, so the resemblance isn't a bad thing.

No. In fact, this is the first time I heard of them. They do sound interesting though. What do the names translate to?

Can't wait to see pics! Do you think you can link to them?

Those microfig doors sound intriguing.

They're due out in August, but that's all I know. I don't think the names translate, they made them up. Or at least, googling the words doesn't return anything meaningful. I've never seen pictures of them. I'd love any details you can provide too!

Unfortunatly I can't link to the pictures or upload them anywhere as I don't have access to them. They were shown to me off another persons computer...

Can't really say much about them. There where four microfigs in diferent colors (Red, yellow, blue and green. If I remember correctly). There could have been more microfigs but I didn't notice any. And the pictures were to small to make out any more details of the figs

The actual board of the games consisted of different "paths" (to few to form any kind of labyrint) built by plates. And at at least some parts of the paths there were 2x2 tiles with a stud in the middle in different colors. And at least one of the games had a handfull of those aforementioned doors (About five or six doors I belive). And I know that they were doors as it was the only thing that jumped out at me so I had to check them out more closely.

As I understand it theese "paths" will, somehow, be able to connect to the paths of the other three games. Because I was told that the games would expand on each other. There were even a picture of a store display featuring all four games together.

They didn't look to be that big either. I'd expect the pricing to be in either the $14.99 or the $19.99 range. Or maybe even both as I think one or two of them looked to be a bit smaller than the others.

Yeah, the translator I used translated "Heroica" into "White Lady", "Nathuz" into "Night Shift", and "Fortaan" into "Loses", and it didn't even have translations for the other two words. They must mean something, we probably just can't find the correct translation for them.

Can't you ask that person to send them to you (or me)?

Thanks for the info. I have some more questions about the doors though:

Did they come in one of the larger or smaller sets?

Are the doors brown? Did they have any texture?

What color were the frames?

Thanks for the new pictures!

They all look pretty good. Of course the Ninjago set just has to have a spinner. The umbrella set looks pretty original. And looking at all those chocolate frogs is making my mouth water.

I don't own any Lego Games, and I probably won't get any of these, but the line looks like it's heading in a good direction.

I own 2 LEGO Boardgames so far, and I must admit that the packaging attracts me very much especially Hogwarts. I feel there is a lot of potential for some decent nice form of gaming in your favourite hobby, especially part of me still enjoys such boardgaming experience. At the same time, this is a good way to acquire some very nice decent parts like the upcoming frogs in different delicious favours, plus past sets where the micro minifigs are just so tempting.

Wow, that's definitely a missed opportunity. I don't have a sea star or snow-covered tree. I'm not much for ripping apart sets (besides these games sets), but I do like to hoard nice pieces like these. Oh well. That printed tile also looks nice.

There are more board game sets? I thought they would have ran out of ideas. I'm glad that they are continuing, though, because I do mostly buy them for parts here and there. Sunblock, for example, will contain my first crab piece!

The doors came in one of the seemingly bigger set. They were reddish brown and the frames where white. They could be printed/stickered but to me the "texture" seemed molded onto the pieces rather than print.

It could be that they used the windows seen in this PotC-set as doors. But as far as I can remember the doors that I saw looked a little different than how those windows look.

I thought so too when I saw those. Maybe the pic you saw was still prelim?

That is of course a possibility. After all I don't think they'll be out in stores until june or august.
