The Legonater Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) EDIT: Nevermind Edited September 25, 2010 by The Legonater
Zepher Posted September 25, 2010 Author Posted September 25, 2010 Speaking of not logging in, I have two camping trips in the next few weeks that will partially interfere with the game. The first is next weekend. It's only one night, so I should be able to bracket the trip with useful (or useless) banter before and after without missing too much. The other is for two nights, which could be slightly more detrimental. But I will post as late as possible before I leave, and as soon as I return. Shouldn't be too bad, in actuality. I might get lucky, and the trip will fall in the lull between game days. We shall see. Just assume my character is off meditating somewhere. After all the pre-game talk of metagaming, this struck me as quite funny. I believe that I more than anyone at this point can say I understand real-world excuses! Don't worry aout it. As long as I have warning and it's for a week or less, we should be a-okay!
Rick Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 You could always visit my tent and see. Oh my, is university pay so bad these days? But thanks for the offer, you can expect me for dinner tonight.
Captain Becker Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 So we didnt get rid of those criminals yet dang it. Nice to see the game starting so exitingly, cant wait for day 2. Shadows: Could you leave me a couple of those sausages please? Captain Becker
Peanuts Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Got a little question: Are the lawyers working for the restaurant since they are shown with the restaurant people. I´m just wondering why a restaurant would need two lawyers.
Zepher Posted September 25, 2010 Author Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) Rules slightly updated in this thread, but not in Day 1. Enjoying what you're all doing so far! And the lawyers do not work with the resturant. Edited September 25, 2010 by Zepher

Zepher Posted September 25, 2010 Author Posted September 25, 2010 Yes. As in all games you may team up with anyone you trust.
sok117 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Great to see the day 1 thread up, hope the rest of the game runs nice and smoothly. But that stutter is rather annoying
KotZ Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Great to see the day 1 thread up, hope the rest of the game runs nice and smoothly. But that stutter is rather annoying We're all having fun, and I'm sorry about the stutter, but I think it's a cool character choice.... but why does everyone make fun of the cop with the stutter???
def Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 We're all having fun, and I'm sorry about the stutter, but I think it's a cool character choice.... but why does everyone make fun of the cop with the stutter??? I'm a biker. I have to make fun of the st-st-st-stuttering cop. It's my character
General Redwater Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I got my PM. Sorry it took me so long, my internet connection has been gone for a while. - Redwater
KotZ Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I'm a biker. I have to make fun of the st-st-st-stuttering cop. It's my character Oh, well if it's your character, I can forgive you.
Eskallon Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 We're all having fun, and I'm sorry about the stutter, but I think it's a cool character choice.... but why does everyone make fun of the cop with the stutter??? I like that you have given yourself some individuality in this game, it builds up your character better. I myself am trying to go for the strong man, yet underneath a little soft but moves on from the past.
Shadows Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Shadows: Could you leave me a couple of those sausages please? Always enough to go around. why does everyone make fun of the cop with the stutter??? You did sort of set yourself up for that, now you get to deal with it, machinegunbreath.
Dragonator Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Always enough to go around. Hey! Why are you giving away the sausages you promised me!?

JCC1004 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I've been really busy this weekend so please excuse my absence. I still have to read all 3 pages that have been posted while I was busy...
Zepher Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 Also, for the comments about only the Godfathers surviving, while that does seem to be the case, I still wonder. How are we supposed to defeat them if we already outnumber both of them? Weren't those the standards of winning this game... of life, that the town had to outnumber all other groups? Hmm, I must meditate some more. I edited the rules yesterday becuase of this same thing. Town's goal is to get rid of all scum, mafia's goal is to outnumber the sum of all other factions. Impartials, if any, do not count for any side.

Just saw this belatedly, I was a bit confused right there! Thanks for clearing this up.
iamded Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 oh, thanks. I like how you are playing your character in the game, too. Playing your character is half the fun of a mafia. A well played character can greatly enrich the game experience. Then again, if not done right it can just look suspicious and get you voted off.

The Legonater Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Like crazy accents on a desert island? Or a sausage addicted solider? I, personally, have been working on a cocky self-centered sort of charecter, not sure if you guys noticed.
Admiral Ron Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Or a sausage addicted solider? I, personally, have been working on a cocky self-centered sort of charecter, not sure if you guys noticed. I did notice that, as a matter of fact. I have been trying to go for the hard-working waiter, rather naive yet wise in some areas, how have i been doing in that regard?
Zepher Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 Just a word of advice friends. Show don't tell. If you're doing a character, you don't HAVE to post it in this thread since we can see what you're doing in the other. And everyone has been really enjoyable so far! Thanks guys! I'm fairly certain that no conviction will be made today, but just in case and in fairnesses sake I'll leave the thread open until about midnight (my time) tomorrow.
