ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Just a word of advice friends. Show don't tell. If you're doing a character, you don't HAVE to post it in this thread since we can see what you're doing in the other. And everyone has been really enjoyable so far! Thanks guys! I'm fairly certain that no conviction will be made today, but just in case and in fairnesses sake I'll leave the thread open until about midnight (my time) tomorrow. Nah, I'd rather end it now. Mostly just pointless bickering going on right now.
Zepher Posted September 27, 2010 Author Posted September 27, 2010 Well that's not up to you, is it? All days will run for 72 hours, no reason why this one shouldn't just becuase you think it's too fighty.
Stash2Sixx Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Only reason I can see a day ending early is if there is a vote that passes for someone to die...and even then it might still be questionable to end early!
iamded Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Like crazy accents on a desert island? Exactly! I've noticed some people don't have their character's picture in their avatar or signature. Is adding it a compulsory thing, or is there some leeway there? Same question applies for the character name. ~Peace
Shadows Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Impartials, if any, do not count for any side. I always hate those bastards.
Professor Flitwick Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I've noticed some people don't have their character's picture in their avatar or signature. Is adding it a compulsory thing, or is there some leeway there? Same question applies for the character name. ~Peace I always do it, I find it much easier to remember who I'm talking to, and what they did in previous days. Especially with 42 members, I think its an imperative. I always hate those bastards. Imperial Soldiers Mafia must of been a hellish experience for you.
Eskallon Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I always hate those bastards. You're nice I wish, I was one, they seem to win *Cough* Lord Arjay *Cough*

Especially with 42 members, I think its an imperative. That was my thought too, it's just a bit of a pain having to search through the character list to get a reminder of who you're talking to. ~Peace
JCC1004 Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I don't think I'll have to drop out but I'm only going to have enough time to read day one. I will keep up with day two the best I can. Terribly sorry but I've been really busy at home. We're redoing the design, paint, etc.
The Legonater Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Just a word of advice friends. Show don't tell. If you're doing a character, you don't HAVE to post it in this thread since we can see what you're doing in the other. And everyone has been really enjoyable so far! Thanks guys! I know, I'm just glad this time my charecter doesn't have a pre-determined attrbute that dooms me
Zepher Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 Doot post ANYTHING out of character in the threads. If this is a repeated offense, I'm going to add it to the rules. Also, it is HIGHLY encourged that you put your name and picture in your sig. I think i will post a request that everyone do that in the Day 2 thread.
Dragonator Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 It's up to the player, but I'd of course strongly encourage it as a courtesy thing. To add to that, it is expected that all participants have their character name and avatar either in their signature or avatar space to be clear about who they are and as a courtesy to other players. Anyone who fails to do this will be treated with the utmost suspicion, as it look like you have something to hide.
WhiteFang Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Anyone who fails to do this will be treated with the utmost suspicion, as it look like you have something to hide. It reminds me that the host has special power to create special death conditions for players not following the rule, like the servant being crushed by a potato cart. That is a classic.
Zepher Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 Thanks for a lovely Day 1 everyone! I'll try to get Day 2 up by the end of the week.
Shadows Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Imperial Soldiers Mafia must of been a hellish experience for you. That's quite an understatement... It reminds me that the host has special power to create special death conditions for players not following the rule, like the servant being crushed by a potato cart. Mmmmm, potatoes. I absolutely landmines. For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, imagine a situation where, if someone does a specific predetermined action, they trigger instant death. Or worse. It's an unfortunately rare feature in these games. *nudges Zeph* Come on, you know you love a good landmine ... How about anyone who posted more than 5 times during the day dies from running-off-at-the-mouthage that night? Ok, I'm kidding, but seriously kids, it's hard to keep up when you talk so much. And stutter.
Walter Kovacs Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Oh, come now Shadows. The stutter isn't that bad. It gives his character some depth. And you do get used to it.
Rick Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Ok, I'm kidding, but seriously kids, it's hard to keep up when you talk so much. And stutter. I'm sure lots of deaths will calm down the day threads...
Peanuts Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I absolutely landmines. And stutter. There were some in Baritones 2, I remind, weren´t they? They sound pretty funny, hope I will somewhen play a game with some. So day one is over, the game is really fun so far, I hope I will survive some more days
Professor Flitwick Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 There were some in Baritones 2, I remind, weren´t they? Yes, it was Pencoin's character who mocked Adams characters (I believe she was called Adelaide, or something) hair-do a certain number of times, and was repeatedly shot by her. I think more landmines would be interesting, but would'nt they sort of restricted all the freedom a player has about deciding their character traits, e.g. The KingofZempk wouldn't have such control over the character trait he picked for his character.

For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, imagine a situation where, if someone does a specific predetermined action, they trigger instant death. Or worse. It's an unfortunately rare feature in these games. There is a landmine in place. It automatically kills all witches. It's a good thing Hinck's not playing.
KotZ Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 @ Shadows: Really? You had to pull the stutter? I swear, if someone kills me for the stutter, I'm not a happy camper. But really, make fun of Officer King all you want, it's sort of funny to see what people say about him But Zepher, thanks for this game! It's so much fun!
Zepher Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 You still have about 28 hours to get in thoswe night actions... but at this point I've recieved a shockingly low amount.
Shadows Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 There is a landmine in place. It automatically kills all witches. It's a good thing Hinck's not playing. I laughed and laughed at that. <--- See? I'll never forget his ugly grave, or his wife, or those nights four to a bed ...
Quarryman Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 I'll never forget his ugly grave, or his wife, or those nights four to a bed ... I have very fond memories of the PMs he sent me after I killed him. *sniff*
