I'm not sure when this happened, but I don't think it's fair to give CallMePie a title that could influence other players' voting/attitude towards him. :sadnew:

It wasn't me, and I've asked Draggy and it wasn't him either. I'm not sure who it was, or if it's related to the game, but I will officially say that no matter what it refers to, no one should take it to indicate anything about this game.

Thinking carefully, it might have been Hinck. He's a witch, you know. *throws a potato at him*

I'm just happy I got a title.

I have to say, (this is going to be biased) I'm a bit skeptical about giving Shadows complete and total night invulnerability. It may have just been a by-chance givin night action, but I'ts kind of like handing him a victory. Not accusing anybody, just saying.

I have to say,

Don't! :oh3: Wait till after the game has finished to be discussing game mechanics outside the game threads please.

Wow, if you dont mind me saying but all this waiting has turned the day thread into poo. Just mindless banter is what that is.

*throws potato for the heck of it*... wait, why are we throwing potatoes? :look:

And yeah, I agree that the keeping the day thread open is not the greatest of ideas, Zepher.

It's an old and well used EB Mafia reference, relating to this scene from the original Mystery Castle. Mafia was a bit rough and ramshackle back then, but we sure had some good laughs.

I would also like to remind a few players about a rule that is very different in this game. 1/3 is needed to convict, but that is a minimum. In theory, even with 2/3rds of the people voting, the vote could be 50/50. Therefore, the person with the highest number of votes above 1/3 is convicted. And becuase of that, 1/3 is not a finished conviction, and days can not end early.

That's not making much sense to me. On the first post of the Day 3 thread, you said that 14 votes were needed to convict. I assumed that meant that once a single player has 14 votes on him/her, they're dead. Am I right?

Re-read the voting rules for this game, if you please. 1/3 is the minimum to convict, but becuase 1/3 can be obtained without the groups consent, in theory (if the 1/3 of the game that was mafia, for exmaple, got on first and all voted one person) the day must play out so that all voters still get a say. It is the person voted most ABOVE 14 votes.

Also, if it has fallen to pointless banter, that's the player's fault. Hold your tounge if you don't have anything important to say  .

And sorry Quarry, I happen to be a crazy person. I'll fix the rules that claim 1/4... it is 1/3. I somehow mixed that up in editing, in my orginal notes it is 1/3.

FINAL CONFUSION FIX

I was away this weekend. Sorry. I did not expect you all to kill her so quickly. Quarryman's questions about the voting are best, becuase those two rules explain everything that should have happened today. 1) 1/3 is needed to condemn. That is a minimum. Once two people are over 1/3 (math tells us that's possible) the one with the higher votes will be the one that gets killed. 2) Rule 3 refers to a majority. That means that once 1/2 of the town votes for a single person, they will be killed. That was put into place to not make the day too long, and was just used.

So, from now on I will post the minimum number needed to convict (1/3) and the cap that will end the day (1/2). I really hope this makes sense...

And remember to post things out of character in this thread. YOU DO NOT POST OUT OF CHARACTER IN THE GAME THREAD! Anymore of that crap and your future ability to play mafiz/mystery games will be impeded!

Makes sense to me! Excellent, this will keep the days running more efficiently. Good job, Zepher.

Well, I'm back from my business camping trip. What did I miss?

*huh*

Actually, I'm not surprised at the result, given how Day 3 started.

I just wanted everyone to know without a doubt why I didn't jump on the lynching bandwagon. It wasn't for in-game purposes.

Let's go!!!!!

I've already seen some cake, now I want to see death!

Is that an old mafia game reference or a subtle portal one?

Neither, it's an Eddie Izzard reference:

And I just noticed that the rules in the Day 4 thread still say 1/4 to vote for one person is enough to convict:

2. Each day, the players will vote out one amongst them. To be voted out the player must be the higest voted player above 1/4 of the town. If only one person is above 1/4, they will be the one killed. To vote or to draw back your vote, you must use the following sentence in your post: vote: character/player or unvote: character/player. If you want to change your vote, you must first unvote before the second vote is calculated.

Zepher, you may want to edit that

Zepher,

I am going to Salou/Barcelona on Thursday and will be back on Tuesday. I will defiantly have internet access on the journey as I will have a fully paid for sim in my phone from work. I will try to post once or twice. I hope this does not cause much in-convenience.

Due to a incident that has me living at the hospital most of the time these days, I won't be able to contribute much to the discussions for a couple of days. I will do my best to follow the story though and cast my vote when the time comes.

Sorry for this! :cry_sad:

I would like to apologize to everyone, but I am in a production of the Crucible this weekend, and so will have to post a new day when the performances are over on Sunday.
