sok117 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 By the way, no hard feelings to those who got the rough and tumble abuse from the biker leader. Like the stuttering Erik King, I got deep into my role. Thats okay, no hard feelings! Nice job, but mafia scum just can't hide
Inconspicuous Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Still, this has been a very intense and exciting game. Even if the game's been a little sloppy on the organizational side, it's been a blast to play! With so many players and mafias, it's never certain what will happen or what other factions are hiding out there.
Zepher Posted November 16, 2010 Author Posted November 16, 2010 If anyone else plans on using their night actions... and there are a lot missing... please get them to me as soon as possible!
Stash2Sixx Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Without Shaun and Stash to fling poo at people have fewer insults to share. I'm going to abuse the shit out of your sigfig from now on, anyway I can!
CMP Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 And again, anybody with any relation at all to me has been killed. Hmm...death avenged...crappy leader killed...everybody I investigated killed...death is good.
Sandy Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Hmm...death avenged...crappy leader killed...everybody I investigated killed...death is good. Are you talking about me? All I did was give out my identity to one wrong person, but evidently that was all it took to bring our family down. If it weren't for Stash's betrayal (and my big mouth), I would've lead you to victory, promise!
Zepher Posted November 16, 2010 Author Posted November 16, 2010 New day should go up very late tomorrow!

If it weren't for Stash's betrayal (and my big mouth), I would've lead you to victory, promise! You let me try to kill Shaun, when I told you he could see me if I failed. You should've talked me out of it.
Dragonator Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 You let me try to kill Shaun, when I told you he could see me if I failed. You should've talked me out of it. Don't be talking about the specifics of the game please, even if it is common knowledge, save that for when it's all over. And it looks like I'm dead, as expected.
Zepher Posted November 18, 2010 Author Posted November 18, 2010 Thanks Draggy. What he said, CallMePie. But I'm glad to see you're still following. I'd like to apologize to Def and Quarry. I did not have a good picture of Def's death, I realized, and Quarry didn't get any picture of him leaving town, so I just had to stick with it. Story-wise I think it works well, but picture-in-this-thread-wise it screws them over. Sorry guys!
iamded Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Well I can't say that was entirely unexpected. Good game people, and damn you Quarryman. ~Peace
Inconspicuous Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Does this mean the Quarry will win along with the remaining party at the end? Or will we have to wait to find out?
Quarryman Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Well I can't say that was entirely unexpected. Good game people, and damn you Quarryman. You got what you deserved, killing my family like that.
Walter Kovacs Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Does this mean the Quarry will win along with the remaining party at the end? Or will we have to wait to find out? I'd imagine so. We'll have to wait until the conclusion to find out for certain.
Eskallon Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 You got what you deserved, killing my family like that. Oh when your wife died she squealed, the blood poured out of her arm as she screamed and kicked about, then we took her down with our pistols, 2 shots at the heart were enough to send her to her death and to get blood sinking through the floor. Meanwhile your two children crying on the ground outside, we pulled out knives and sliced there wrists, then as they shook and screamed we slowly and messily slit there throats. The last thing they did was scream your name but we didn't care. Remember I was an assassin and I am ruthless, I will get my revenge on you Quarry for killing me, I will defeat you in Hell. Not Well played Quarry and I must say that you did a great job at fulfilling your objectives and well no hard feeling's about the above text.
RileyC Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Is anyone else feeling like 42 players was a tad too ambitious? Im kind of getting annoyed by the lack of participation and the people who just sign up on a whim not intending to play but just wanted to get picked. Im all for outside game PMs and purposeful strategy but the only thing that was filling these last few days thread was Draggy and Shadows bickering.
Zepher Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 I'm sorry if you are not enjoying the game. If you are not having fun, you may drop out and I will search for a suitable replacement.

Im all for outside game PMs and purposeful strategy but the only thing that was filling these last few days thread was Draggy and Shadows bickering. I think the 42 players was possible to do, but the starting rules would have to be modified. For example, the mafia bosses starting alone and having to recruit the first few days meant few deaths. So, maybe a recruiter and killer is needed from the start. And investigators were very unlikely to find anything (42 to investigate), making voting difficult. So, voting could have been 'most votes' instead of majority votes. Those things made the first few days quite slow. If there had been three deaths a game from day one, the game would be a lot closer to winding down now. Instead, I'm worried that it's going to stall now, as Stash's list runs out of names. The last few days had been action packed though, despite some players barely playing. I'm paying attention to the lack of participation of players, and keeping notes so they don't become dead weight when my game comes around. Logging in once a week and saying "Oh no!" doesn't make for a fun game.
def Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 I'm sorry if you are not enjoying the game. If you are not having fun, you may drop out and I will search for a suitable replacement. I don't think it's a complaint about the game, it's about the players not playing. Anyway, as I wrote in my last post, I looked over days 7-9, and made a list of who participated and who didn't. Those who posted less than five times in nearly three weeks (!) will be at the bottom of my players list. It's possible there just aren't 42 people who actually want to take part in a game here.
RileyC Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 I'm sorry if you are not enjoying the game. If you are not having fun, you may drop out and I will search for a suitable replacement. I am enjoying it, the game seems to be taking a really interesting path and every night is interesting but the players are my main concern. I don't think it's a complaint about the game, it's about the players not playing. Yeah that pretty much sums it up for me. Anyway, as I wrote in my last post, I looked over days 7-9, and made a list of who participated and who didn't. Those who posted less than five times in nearly three weeks (!) will be at the bottom of my players list. Wow, five! That's really strange, I thought all players would've posted more times than that. It's possible there just aren't 42 people who actually want to take part in a game here. Yeah that's what I think to. I also do wonder how long it will take to widdle the 42 down to actually finish properly.
Dragonator Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Player participation is always what makes a successful game; there will be plenty of time to discuss the pros and cons of large numbers of players once the game is concluded. I will have a few observations to make then, but in the mean time, keep playing, and I urge any players who haven't been all that active to get involved, as it only ruins the fun for others when half the players aren't actually active.
Sisco Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Another note on that; It's harder to be active when there's nothing to say. I've been itching to post again in the day topic, but there hasn't been any activity in there for quite a while. I enjoy these Mafia games, and I'm happy that I'm being more widely accepted into them. I just want to actually be able to play them.

That's a proble I often have, not only in the game, but also in other topics. I really enjoy the game, It's pretty fun and I try to post as much as possible. It's also hard to try winning and be in my role as loving husband, I don't think I make a good job as the latter .
Walter Kovacs Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 With these new voting rules, does that mean we have to stare at each other for two days if someone gets voted out and no one wants to vote for another? If so... *gets out eye drops and prepares for a staring contest* I'm ready!
Eskallon Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Where is that 'HouseOfH' guy, I don't think he has even posted once in all the days. Instead of substituting at this late date why not just kill him off and label him as inactive.
