Rook Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Zodiac MOCer Sagittron Fighter Based on the Symbol for Sagittarius Gallery Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I love ships that are nice and angular. Nice work! I especially like the fact that it opens! It completely surprised me. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 (edited) At first I thought the design was rather basic and simple (it kinda reminds me of GG's starfighter)... Until the awesomeness happened - the front opens into a crossbow-shape! Impressive work as usual Rook! You really never fail to amaze us with your unique creations. Keep 'em coming! Eurobricks fan Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Is it based on genireal grevousess starfighter Quote
sok117 Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Hey I'm a sagitarious! I opened this thread and looked at the first picture of the ship, and I'm thinking, pretty good, but not Rook's best work, it's a little to plain, sure the greebles are nice, but greebles have been done before... Then I scroll down and I see one picture of the ship in "bow" mode, and I said, "thats the Rook I know", well after I picked myself of the floor for falling out of my chair of course Quote
prateek Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 What the heck just happened. I was just expecting the first pic to be it, but the opening action is amazing! Quote
Decale Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Hello Rook! When I took a look at your work because I'm a curious sagittarius, I saw the first picture and thought :"Hey, the shape of this ship is cool, it feels really powerful, I like the size of the cockpit glass and the details of the tail. Don't see what makes it sagittarius though..." THEN I saw your opening features and BLEM! This fighter became my favorite spaceship I could swoosh it all day long. Very nice work! Quote
Legostein Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Hello! A tricky technique you're using in your fighter. Very clever. Ships with this kind of transforming features are always impressive. What I like much as well is the big amount of wedge shaped bricks and plates all over the fighter. They're placed well to gove a streamlined look. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
KimT Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Superb MOC I really like the transformation and the way you've pulled it off. Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Again another fantastic design 'Rook', must have come from the same factory as GG's starfighter eh ? Keep them comming 'Rook' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Brickus Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Very clever design on an excellent spacecraft, it reminds me of Count Dooku's Solar Sailor, but better executed. Quote
Future74 Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Great work Rook on another MOC in the zodiac range As was said before the opening was a big suprise and great feature! And I like how it looks like the improved version of General Grievous fighter. Well done. Quote
Ras 74 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Awesome fighter Rook! Like several before me pointed out, the transformation of the ship is a really cool feature. My first thought as well was that this was "only" inspired be Grevious ship. But looking at all the pictures, I definatley think it stands out on it´s own, with a slight recemblance. Quote
Rook Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 Thanks for all the positive feedback. It took me several tries to get the gearing right and the bowstring right so that it all opens with small on the rear left side (black sphere knob). Some days it’s good to just hear the crowd roar with applause. ;) Glad you guys enjoyed it and remember if it isn’t playable it wasn’t built by Rook. :D Quote
pedro Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Another really nice Zodiac ship Rook. The bowstring element looks and appears to work great. I like the touches of dark red on the bow sections of the ship - if anything i think adding a couple more to carry on this splash of colour wouldn't hurt. You know it's all good when any suggestions are purely cosmetic! Quote
Smack Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Another fantastic creation Mr. Rook! Your imagination and creativity never cease to amaze. The crossbow opening was quite the suprise. Keep up the good work & I look forward to next months MOC! Quote
