Siegfried Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Welcome to Hero Factory Month! In celebration of the launch of Hero Factory, the successor to the long running BIONICLE theme, Eurobricks is hosting an exciting contest with the main prizes donated kindly by the LEGO Group! But there's a twist - this month we'll be focusing on the under-represented villains and scumbags of Hero Factory, who deserve some time in the spotlight. The contest starts now, running until the 8th of October, and is your chance to see what Hero Factory is about if you were never too interested before. Remember to also stay tuned for more exciting events and giveaways throughout the month! Quote
Bfahome Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Nice header. Took me a second to figure out what it was, though. Quote
CabooseBM Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Me, I recognized it right away, but I thought, "Pah, Eurobricks would never do a theme centered on constraction figure sets!" Glad to be proven wrong, though. Quote
prateek Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Hmmm.... I'm pretty sure everyone in the Licensed Forum is spazzing their !@@!$s off right now! Quote
Zorro Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Hmmm.... I'm pretty sure everyone in the Licensed Forum is spazzing their !@@!$s off right now! You mean in the LEGO Action Figures forum? We've been looking forward to Hero Factory Month, and I wish everyone that enters this great contest all the best of luck! Quote
prateek Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 You mean in the LEGO Action Figures forum? We've been looking forward to Hero Factory Month, and I wish everyone that enters this great contest all the best of luck! No, I meant Licensed because everyone wanted a Harry Potter month. Quote
CMP Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 No, I meant Licensed because everyone wanted a Harry Potter month. Yea. It is a bit disappointing that there wasn't one. Oh well. There's more than one month in a year. Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Great month and contest! Even the terrible HF TV program makes me dislike this theme a bit more, Viktor Von Nebula and his hencmen are still very epic. I'm waiting for the giveaways and other stuff. Forum banner needs really more monocles and mustache. It's now very... Incomplete. You should really give Viktor all his important personal stuff. You know, Hero Factory is just american propaganda against Viktor Von Nebula and his men. I will take part of the contest too. Is it the first action figure building contest in EB? Quote
Brickthing Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I will take part of the contest too. Is it the first action figure building contest in EB? No, but it will be the first one to finish. Quote
Zarkan Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Man, I bet at least a few members will be a bit ticked off at this announcement. As for me, I feel this really shows how far Eurobricks has come in giving some recognition to often-maligned themes. Bionicle and its sucessor may not be the most popular themes around AFOL circles, but at Eurobricks, they're treated just like any other themes (complete with their own subforum). I won't be entering the contest, seeing as that I don't really own any Hero factory sets/don't MOC much anymore, but I hope that it gets a decent number of entries. Quote
Extreme Sadness. Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS! I'm REALLY glad this is happening, I'm a little surprised though, considering that Bionicle/HF have been kind of neglected here. -ES Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 For someone who's not a fan of the old Bionicle and the new Hero Factory themes, I'd still say this is a very interesting themed month. This will be the perfect chance for me (and hopefully other non-fans) to appreciate HF, and the contest is the perfect venue for HF/Bionicle enthusiasts not only to let out their creative juices but at the same time to show the whole AFOL community how great their beloved theme is. So HF fanatics, we're all waiting and give us a good "show". Quote
Front Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I may put some moc together for at least one of the categories. I hope a lot of guys will join the competition. Lego Technic experts can probably join in the vehicle contests by creating a quick moc in an hour or two. Quote
noname Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I've expected a Pirates month due to "International Talk Like a Pirate Day" (it's today) Quote
legowill1 Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Yea. It is a bit disappointing that there wasn't one. Oh well. There's more than one month in a year. Lets see what happens next month I may take part in this. Quote
