Fugazi Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Thanks for the link legomilk! The log cabin does not look as elaborate as past Creator houses, BUT! It includes a minifig, so it's probably designed to be easily dropped in a City layout! This sounds like great news, but it could also mean that Creator prices will increase as a result of using more specialised parts and accessories, not to mention the minifigs. It will also take away from the Creator line 'miniland'-like quality, in that everything was brick-built and used only simple pieces. Interesting development! Now the line between City, Creator and Modular is getting blurrier by the minute. Is it a good or bad thing? Quote
prateek Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 (edited) It looks alright, if not a bit small. I can't wait to see the rest of the line. Here's a hyperlink if you don't feel like copy/pasting. My link Edited September 18, 2010 by prateek Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 This doesn't look good at all! Why would they include a lego guy in there? Anyway, thanks for the link, and do you happen to have a picture of the truck-thingy in the right side if the cabin? Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Wait a second, It's not even on a baseplate (I think) The house look very small, compared to the size of the MiniFig. Quote
Fugazi Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 (edited) Well it'a log cabin, not a Victorian mansion, but yeah, it's a small set. It's hard to see but I think it's even open-backed, like City houses. And yes, looks like it sits on a collection of smaller plates (one is blue), not a true baseplate. I may be mistaken about the colours, but if it has tan windows and a tan door, plus a dark red roof, then it's all good stuff for the parts bin! Edited September 18, 2010 by Fugazi Quote

Anyway, thanks for the link, and do you happen to have a picture of the truck-thingy in the right side if the cabin? I'd guess that feedback has suggested kids would be more likely to enjoy the houses if they came with a figure to play in it. The existing Creator houses have all been minifig sized anyway, so it's hardly a major change. But yeah, that truck looks interesting too. Quote
lowbike1 Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 thats a good looking set, I'll definitely be picking it up Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I'm not really feelin' this one, most especially the color scheme. Yes I know it's a log cabin and the colors are supposed to be that way but it just doesn't look appealing, and this one pales in comparison with the previous creator houses. Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Please note that this image is just only a preliminary. It's still subjected to changes. At least I know what kind of Creator house to expect for next year. A rather different feeling than its usual earlier ones. Quote
Plissken Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I like it. The brown bricks could be very useful. I also like the horn/skull? detail on the side and the fireplace inside the house looks promising. I think it will look very nice inside a forest layout. Quote

I hope there will be not a minifig into the box, IMO it's a trahison to Creator spirit . Quote
metalgearsolid Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I think it looks great actually. The pink roof certainly looks more appealing to little girls. I may consider getting this as a Christmas present for my niece if the actual set turns out nice. Quote

Nope on openned back, look carefully you'll see a window frame and a piece of back wall. I like this - it's sweet and very well detailled from what I can see. I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote

CMP Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) Pink? It's red. Colors are not opinions. Looks dark red to me. It's like a combination of City's minifig playability and indoor furnishing with the distinct brick-built feeling of a Creator house. I won't get it, but fans of Creator and City should. metalgearsolid Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Pink? It's red. Colors are not opinions. No not an opinion... someone who saw the catalogue (Link) described it as dark pink, tho I do agree the pic looks dark red. Was it just a really bad 'google translate'? Quote

Zzz Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Looks good to me for a prelim. I am a big fan of the outback city sets like R3 (Rocky River Retreat) or R2 (River Runners), and I welcome the addition of a minifig. Why not? Just the pricetag of 30€ seems a bit too much for such a tiny house. Left from it should be the mentiones helicopter transport btw. Quote
prateek Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Pink? It's red. Colors are not opinions. Dark red to be exact. Quote
BearHeart Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 That log house looks great. Yeah, the baseplate looks funny but its probably just prelim. I'll probably pick up multiples of this one, its a great sourse of brown bricks and red roof slopes. Quote
prateek Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 I saw this the log cabin up close, and it looks alright. The only thing bothering me is the "logs" sticking out of the corners. Also, one of the alternate models splits in two using hinge bricks so you can play inside. There is another set, a truck with a helicopter, and the other models being a tow truck with a car, and an SUV with a boat. A smaller set consists of a dune buggy, a motortrike, and an ATV. The small canister sets are a yellow construction thingy, and the other set is two different orange planes and a boat. Quote

lightningtiger Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 It doesn't look minifig scale. Too small. Yep, they are NOT minifig scale, I guess they could be MOD'ed into a classic four wide style vehicle (except the copter)- it's also odd how things that come out in the city range end up also comming out in similar styling in creator. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
