Erynion Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) I sort of think that maybe I'd like to get 10193 Medieval Market Village, but I'm not sure ( ), and I'm wondering how long people expect it to available from Shop@Home (and how long it will be before the prices escalate on BrickLink after that...), considering that it's the only Fantasy Era Castle set left on S@H. To wait until I feel more sure or there's a more special offer out; or to buy now... that is the question... And I know the free shipping offer ends today. No pressure, no pressure... Thanks, ~Erynion~ Edited September 19, 2010 by Erynion Quote
prateek Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Just get it. It can't be along for much longer, and you can't beat free shipping. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I agree. It's completely worth full price (and then some). It's the best set I've ever gotten. Even looking at ebay and bricklink now, the price is inflated and if you wait and decide you want it you don't want to pay double. Quote
Vindicare Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) I'd definitely get it now. It is an unbelievable set and well worth piece tag. I don't understand how people can actually think that someones going to pay $213 +$20 for shipping on ebay for this. Edited September 19, 2010 by Legocrazy81 Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Get it now! It will probably swept of at the end of the year with all the new themes coming in. It will probably be the cheapest place you will find it, unless you want to pay 150-250 dollars on ebay or bricklink. Quote
Erynion Posted September 19, 2010 Author Posted September 19, 2010 Thanks for the responses... Get it now! It will probably swept of at the end of the year with all the new themes coming in. It will probably be the cheapest place you will find it, unless you want to pay 150-250 dollars on ebay or bricklink. It's $150 in Canada, where I live Which doesn't really make sense to me because the dollar difference isn't that big. That's one thing that's holding me back - if it were only 100 (even USD) I'd be more willing to pay for it. On BL the cheapest ones are going for around $120 CAD... hmm, depending on how much they charge for shipping, it might actually be cheaper to get it there than from S@H... Quote
Captain M Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I want it to, but I'm waiting until it goes on sale like the Bionicle Vehicles did(50% off!). Quote
Dan the Brickman Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I doubt it will ever go to half price... not a set like that. Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Yeah, a set like that will not go on sale. MMV sells very well. It is the sets that are left over from a wave that nobody bought. Also it is 100 USD, and I think in any countries would the cut the price in half. Quote
Erynion Posted September 19, 2010 Author Posted September 19, 2010 Oh... FINE... ya'll convinced me... (Although I still can't get over that it's 50% more expensive in Canada than the US... oh well) Quote
Vindicare Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I want it to, but I'm waiting until it goes on sale like the Bionicle Vehicles did(50% off!). I wouldn't wait if that's your reason for doing so. It will never be that % off, not when it's sold so well. I don't collect Bionicle, so I don't really know how popular they are, but that may be why they were 50% off, because they weren't selling. Quote
blueandwhite Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Oh... FINE... ya'll convinced me... (Although I still can't get over that it's 50% more expensive in Canada than the US... oh well) It still works out to be less than 10 cents per brick which is unheard of these days. I picked up a third copy of this set when I was down in Chicago this weekend and if I had more spending money I would have bought another. At $99.99 this is one of the best deals LEGO has on the market. At $149.99 it's still an amazing bargain. Quote

You should either get it from USA, or ship it to someone living there and tell them to ship it here. Quote

evilempire22 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) Amazon has the MMV for $99.99 + free shipping: http://www.amazon.com/LEGO%C2%AE-Castle-Medieval-Market-Village/dp/B001USHRCK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1285189205&sr=8-1-spell And through Amazon, you don't pay tax, so this is actually a better deal than through LEGO, as you would only get 99 VIP points (~$5 back), plus you would have to pay tax. This assuming you are in the US. --Evil Edited September 22, 2010 by evilempire22 Quote

We agreed long ago that I will normally buy one copy of a large set. But with this set (it is such a great set design wise and mini-fig wise, and such a great parts pack) I had no trouble convincing her I needed more than one copy. Quote

In my case, it's MY girl who's trying to persuade ME that we need to buy another Green Grocer... but I'm saving for a bike now, so it's not gonna happen... (I know, I know - blasphemy!) Quote

Wow, this is one of those rare moments when I find myself utterly shocked! A LEGO fan is actually passing on bricks when he has the green light from his girl?!! LEGO's marketing people really need to look into this one . Quote
