Matteo1130 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 useful in the northern cold seas :) (sorry for the light bluish gray bricks...) i'm planning to put something similar in my ship after placed tiles on the floor. once placed, the black round bricks would continue 'til roof and a few on the upper deck, finishing with a dish and a cone... hope this is helpful for someone :) Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Excellent stove design there 'Matteo1130' ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 A very nice design you've got there. Simple and effective! It might be very useful for minifig illusion scale ships. Quote
ZCerberus Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Simple, but it looks good. Is this a stove simply for heating in cold weather, or is it for cooking food as well? If so I would think the stove would need to be larger, but your post seems to indicate that might not be its use. If it is intended to be for cooking as well, the galleys I've seen have been located in the front of the ship and the stove pipe comes out of the forecastle by the fore mast. The stove's pipe is called the "Charlie Noble" and was usually kept to a very high polish. Also, seems as if you are building a ship to go along with your stove. Any details on the build? Quote

Any details on the build? ok, your post comes incredibly important to me :) the ship i'm building is 7 mid sections long with old bow/stern and 22 studs wide. in my plans the decks are 5/6 bricks tall so the original 2 gundecks idea passed for a single gundeck idea... the ship should have gone too tall. for some reason the shipping of the bricks comes very slow in italy and the building will be long (can't wait to finish that). just a question: have the stove for cooking to be placed in the gundeck in the front part? "charlie noble" should run beside the foremast? or is it placed out the gundeck next the bow? if you have some other details to add i'll be glad to place them in my ship (i'm even placing the "small shape cannon design" to have the more space available)!!
