:D

Actually the snowman was part of the advent calendar of 2003... I think he was behind door number 6... But it looks like he was re-released as gift in a Smarties package...

Well, there's one new thing.... I was already suspicious about the new ' green' color of some parts in the new sets, but it appears to be glow-in-the-dark, like the teeth of the 2004 creator sets. Swell!

Also, the wheelshaped boxes for the mini cars seem to be way to big for just that model... I can only guess why they have all that extra space. I'm hoping for extra models, tracks or a firing mechanism, but I'm not sure. maybe the package just seems big.

Anyway. looking at the sides of the boxes, there appear to be 4 4-wide cars (all are known.. too bad, IMHO, I wanted more) 4 motorbikes (2 of which we now know) and 4 bigger racers (once again we only know 2 of them).

edit: Apparently I was mistaken. The motorbikes and the bigger cars are in the same series. (this is especially apparent on the box of the 'buzz saw', you can see the red and blue of the motorbikes on the side of the box) So, there's only one series of four and we all know them.

Also, some mook replaced the lego-fig-flashlight image on the police set box with... some dude I don't know.

And Bionicle is still megablock.

I don't know what to answer on this else than a big YES!!!! ;)

Peh.

Bionicle is the thing that, however much you regret it, kept Lego afloat the last couple of years.

You don't like it? You don't buy it.

And I must say that however much Bionicle is unlike Lego-with-studs, it still shows creativity and originality in the design, and is of a much higher quality than the cheap Megablocks knockoff.

But that's just my opinion. You're entitled to yours. ;)

Bionicle hasn't kept Lego afloat, they are still loosing 100 of million of American dollars.

And the design of them is what I hate the most, most of the sets can be made with bricks, the designers are just too lazy to do that. The first year of Bionicle was fine, nothing I would buy but the design is good. Now it's this trash where they have 6 guys a year that are all the same with different colors, and have one new pice than the sets from the year before.

Bionicle could not be less creative.

Lego is not loosing money on Bionicle, they are making money...

It was computer games, and stuff that really didnt have anything to do with the toy Leo, that they lost money on..

I think the reason why Bionicles are build... erm.... liek Bionicles and not with bricks is, that it increases the playability a lot... They are much less fragile than any brick creations... The Bionicle line doesn't stand for creative (constructive) play, but for action play... Finally Bionicles are TLC's action figures....

I made my whole strategic study in class about LEGO this year and bionicles are the number 1 LEGO products. They are quite cheap to create and are maeking profits. The bionicle line is filling the gap that lego was having in the action figures sector :)

Exactly.

Bionicle is not creative, it is a cheap way to make money. What I am saying is that before Bionicle Lego was making money too, and they can make it without Bionicle. Even with it they still can't make up for the loses.

The video games are not loosing that much, easy to make and it gets the Lego name out there for people to see and go "I remember Lego, I'll buy some for my kid".

New update on my site 2005.

Bionicle from 2005

Oh God! Not more.. :/

This junk sure does come out of the lego factory very often. It is almost every 6 months that we get the latest "Toa-metru-nova-super-expendium-vendu" :P

But, I sure am happy if this makes money for lego as this means they can spend more money on making good sets for us!
