i'm glad to share a technique to enlarge the small boat parts. i'm using it to make an english brig...

on this base it's simple to place the roof with plates and hinges... hope it comes useful for someone :)

That's a good way of connecting the middle.

I'm sure if you as one of the pirate staff to merge the two threads, it could be done.

That is actually a really good idea... I would like to see some people use this with SNOT (studs not on top, for those who are not familiar with the LEGO termology) pieces to give it a more boarded up ship look... it would make it look a lot more accurate...

Ships always take a lot of bricks. Especially brickbuilt ones.
