Admiral Croissant Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Hello there! I found this funny little MOC on MOCpages (well.. actually Mister Phes did) and I'd like to share it with you. Dinner With the Islanders Captain Gerald tragically misinterprets the Islanders desire to, "have him for dinner" [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] Thanks for watching! Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Ha, oh such a classic joke, brought to life with LEGO. Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Haha, nice one. Also nice work! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 25, 2010 Governor Posted September 25, 2010 Hello there! I found this funny little MOC on MOCpages (well.. actually Mister Phes did) and I'd like to share it with you. Why thank you for creating this thread for me Quite a humourous little MOC (or would it pass a vignette?) we have here. Do you think Captain Gerald managed to escape? He seems quite buff... Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 He won't escape, since the water is already boiling and the bananas have been cut. A great scene and very well built too. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 25, 2010 Governor Posted September 25, 2010 He looks quite relaxed for somebody sitting in boiling water. A great scene and very well built too. About the "very well built" comment... I see the technique used here are a couple of rubber bands around some plates, but the effect is somewhat uneven and in reality the water would come pouring out of the cracks. Is there a way to produce a similiar effect without the uneveness? Quote

Is there a way to produce a similiar effect without the uneveness? I like the uneven look... and I have actualy just realized, if you look closely, only a little bit on the top is where water could escape, but the bottom majority is sealed(you can see somewhat of a black dish type thing inside of it) Edited September 25, 2010 by Nosaj Quote
B-Lister Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 I love how MOC fans make use of ANY new part, to help along! I never would've DREAMED the surfer torso would apply to a Pirate MOC, but that's because I sometimes fail to see the bigger picture. thanks, though, for showing the way! Quote
General Redwater Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Funny MOC! At first I thought you posted this because that fig looks like Commodore Hornbricker. - General Redwater Quote
