I just realized something. All the people's powers/elemental themes are obvious based on their names, besides Duncan Bulk and Jimi Stringer. Duncan Bulk is presumably metal-themed, given his weapon description in the first page and his outrageously metallic color scheme.

But what about Jimi Stringer? Well, when you consider that his first name is "Jimi" with that precise spelling, that his description calls his tool a "multi-function sonic weapon", and the meanings that "stringer" would imply... he would seem to be a sound-based character, with a name that's quite possibly a reference to a certain very famous guitarist.

All guesswork, but seriously, since he doesn't have "spider powers" or anything I can't imagine what else "stringer" is meant to imply.

BTW, that new lineup image is hotness. Very ambiguous backdrop image, though-- I can only guess it's meant to show some "disaster area" the heroes might be called to (and even that's making a lot of assumptions).

Realized the name, but totally didn't make the sound connection.

Look at his torso. I thought those were fans.

They could be speakers.

And his weapon has the sound wave thing going on at the top.

Call me slow, but whoa, I find those hidden parts awesome.

I just thought he had some sonic weapon, didn't make the sound-element connection. :P

Is Mark Surge's electricity tool split in two in that picture? That would be great if the set can do that!

He's had two tools in most of the pics we've seen of him-- just check the pics on the front page. The recent Toy Fair pic where he only had one tool was probably a prototype, since the tool didn't even really resemble the one we normally see him with.

He's referring to how it looks like the electricity forks on the tool in Surge's right hand.

Looks like it's either meant to look like he's swinging it or someone made an oopsie.

Point is if somebody can make an oopsie like that, then hopefully there are two separate lightning parts per weapon.

Just about every ToyFair image of Bionicle sets have some pointless building mistake. Do you know if this incident was building mistake, or somebody broke the piece and glued it together wrong?

It looks like it's a CGI pic…

I was... six... when the mata leg appeared; please explain what what the mata leg issue is.

In CG Canister images and commercials, the Toa looked like their waists, neck, elbows and knees could all bend.

Oh yeah... I sort of remember that.

However, I was six, so I could've cared less. I'm sure the six year olds of today won't care much more than I did.

Off-topic: stupid spell check saying that "could've" isn't a word.

Aw man, now I want Stringer even more. <3

And Artahn, I was the same age as you and I cared. =P

So, after buying Takanuva Stars at a local LEGO store for a ridiculous price, I got an ad for the Stars, along with a teaser for Hero Factory. It's not much, just what seems to be the final boxart for Preston Stormer (crappy name's still crappy). I can't provide a scan (scanner's broken, and camera phone is way too low-quality), but I can tell you a few things I saw in there:

- The "BIONICLE" logo says "From the makers of BIONICLE characters", and it has a silhouette of the island of Mata Nui.

- Again, like the Piraka, the set character's name is also written in graffiti-style.

- The background is some sort of sketch designs for Stormer, with his torso, his weapon, and small texts that I can't read (the only part that I can read says "Power Core 4......". And that's it.)

- The age limit is 6-16, not 6-12.

That's pretty much all I got. I know that I don't have evidences, but I swear it's 100% legit. Just wait until ToyFair and you'll see that I'm right.

There are no titans anymore which is what I liked about bionicle. Now we have just two inika build guys (which will probably cost as much as titans, great!), four ben 10 guys and six av-matoran-ish guys. Rotor and Nebula are cool and I might get them assuming they don't charge more than 15 USD for them. The rest seem poor build-wise and I am feeling like they will cost as much as canisters... I felt bad vibes ever since LEGO started to brag about the "constraction" concept... I am sure kids would love it but this new philosophy makes it unsuitable for my taste. I might get Nebula and Rotor if their prices are reasonable but I am moving back to system.

I really miss the times of the exo-toa and the Rahi. :( . Perhaps one day technic will once again include giant robots again.

BTW, in one article they said HF sets would cost between 8 and 50 USD. The only set that looks worthy of that price tag is drop ship, but it looks kind of too much for it.

Edit: Oh, the cards have price tags that's useful.

I am not sure Nebula and rotor are really worth as much as 20 USD. Drop ship might be bigger than it seems else that price is quite crazy.

So:

Heroes 7.99,

small villains : 12.99

large villains: 19.99

Furno bike: 29.99

Drop ship: 49.99

Edit : Ah well, they just seem like Inika build, but might be a little more complex. They have titan legs and Rotor's box has a piece count. I think that although rotor and nebula are sort of small they should be fun to build, so I'll probably really pay their price.

I like rotor's new color tone or is it just a better pic? I have mixed feelings about Nebula's new color, it looks cool now, but I liked the gunmetal goodies. Nebula's box is so incredibly awesome that I expect it to vanish from the shelves. I'll rush to buy him.

So what does the dropship, you know, drop?

Only thing I'll be getting is meltdown, pass on everything else.

EDIT OH MAN, I think I figured it out...it drops the hero canisters
