ultimate antrozek Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Stormer promoting his own Action figure. WIN WIN WIN Quote
DLuders Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 (edited) On the website http://www.technicbricks.blogspot.com/ , there's a link to download TLG's "The Brick" Annual Magazine for 2009 (look in the article about the #8258 Crane Truck). The report is a 13.2 MB file. On pages 44-47 in the magazine, there's a 4-page article on Hero Factory with several pictures. Edited March 6, 2010 by dluders Quote

Given the amount of new pictures, it probably could be a promotional video for retailers, similar to the 2008 video that showed Mata Nui. The main things that stood out to me was the similarity between this new city an Metru Nui, and that citizens seem to be robotic too. Quote
Exo-6 Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 The city's name is Makuhero, (you can't destroy Makuta ) for « Make you Hero », i suppose. Quote
Zip Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Oh look, Makuta survived and is proceeding to pull a Chancellor Palpatine on his own city. Quote
cheesey skrall Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 (edited) Here are the bios from the vid. I did this on my iPod, and don't ask how long this took! Preston Stormer nickname: The pro character: thoughtful, experienced, powerful Favorite phrase: "I manage!" Dunkan Bulk Nickname: The Bad Character: easygoing, slightly clumsy Favorite phrase: "Sorry guys, I did not break ..." Jimi Stringer Nickname: The Supersonic. Character: kicks to the beat of music. Favorite phrase: "Let's rock!" William Furno Nickname: The Beginner Character: courageous daredevil with a big heart. Favorite phrase: "Stormer would like that..." Natalie Breez Nickname: Tornado Character: heroin, Quick and agile, she has a little character... Favorite phrase: "you find that it was fast, waiting to see me!" Mark Surge Nickname: The Nervous Character: fiery, temperament, ready for action. Favorite phrase: "yeah, baby!" I don't really understand Breez and bulks' phrases, but it's probobly just my translater. On the black outline pic things in the vid, Furno has his weapons on his arms like wings. Why? Also I've just noticed the pun in Jimis' last name (stringer, as in guitar strings!) Edited March 7, 2010 by cheesey skrall Quote

cheesey skrall Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 I think Breez's phrase would be something like "If you find that fast, wait 'til you see me!". that's what I thought. I could have translated wrong. On bulk's knickname, instead of "the bad" it came up with " the gross" Quote
Artahn Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Oh look, Makuta survived and is proceeding to pull a Chancellor Palpatine on his own city. I would buy 10 copies of the book that has that. ...of course I would probably sell off 9 of them, but still... Quote
Shakar Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Oh great, Lego. The only female in the team "has a little character...". You know the Unfortunate Implications this is going to bring, don't you? Shakar Quote

Zarkan Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Character descriptions are as generic as ever, and I doubt they'll improve when we get the official english versions. Also... Natalie BreezNickname: Tornado Character: heroin, Quick and agile, she has a little character... Favorite phrase: "you find that it was fast, waiting to see me!" I'm surprised no one else has commented on this. Quote

Shakar Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 and whats weird is that they are all the same size...*EDIT* its likely that small is used instead of shy, or sumthin like that I don't see why she has to be shy. Bionicle females never received such treatment.Anyway, maybe we should wait for someone who knows French more than us to clear this up. Shakar Quote

Shakar The original quote from the vid is "Elle a son petit caractère". It makes me think she'll be like Kiina personality-wise. Quote
CabooseBM Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 The original quote from the vid is "Elle a son petit caractère".It makes me think she'll be like Kiina personality-wise. I hope not, we already had Kiina last year, I wouldn't mind a "shy" female character, since I don't remember any actual bionicle characters before with that trait. Quote
Gus 263 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Character descriptions are as generic as ever, and I doubt they'll improve when we get the official english versions. (...) I agree. Those descriptions are very generic . Fortunately the leader isn't red. I don't see why she has to be shy. Bionicle females never received such treatment.Anyway, maybe we should wait for someone who knows French more than us to clear this up. Shakar In the first years of Bionicle, Hahli used to be shy. Aanchir Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I agree. Those descriptions are very generic . Fortunately the leader isn't red. In the first years of Bionicle, Hahli used to be shy. Well, we're told she was shy. She didn't really appear until the Bohrok Online Animations, when she made a pretty bold, assertive gesture by giving Jaller that flower. Another alternate interpretation (based on guesswork, since regrettably I don't know French) might be "meek". Which would also be cool... we've never really had a meek character, who has unique talents but doesn't think much of them. Quote

VBBN Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 They're pretty cheap, too.But how reliable is that store? It's as good as any, I've gotten some stuff from there before. Quote
Bfahome Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Haha wait they're actually more expensive. HAAAAAAAAha I was comparing them to the usual $13 canister-sized price. What a noob. I need sleep. Quote
Zarkan Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) Oy... eleven bucks for the "impulse" sets? And 18 for the "canister" sets? And I thought the prices for Star Wars sets were bad.... Of course, these could only be the prices on that particular website... but if that is how much they will retail for in regular stores, I think TLC"s lost a lot of potential customers.
