Bfahome Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Well those look… odd. I like that they seem to have new limbs. And some of the new weapons were cool. But for a brief shining moment I thought they had new hand pieces that weren't as long and I was like "YYEEAaww :[". But yeah, shorter bending limbs! Woo! Quote
The Dor Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 (edited) .... PLEASE tell me someone saved those images. I feel so left out ;_; Never mind, found 'em somewhere else. Anyway. I'm a little bit unsure about them. I like the new limb pieces, but the overall appearance seems a lot more childish to me. Overall, I'd say the appeal of the new pieces outweighs the childishness (which may be even just be due to the quality of the CGI, which would also explain why the heads and hands look different, unless they actually are new pieces) Edited September 23, 2010 by The Dor Quote
Aethersprite Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Could some kind soul please link me to these pictures? Thanks! Quote
Aethersprite Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Heroes. Villains. Thank you, but... What in the world are these? These are almost Neoshifters? For once, I'm missing the Inika build. Quote
Cap'n Kopaka Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Freaking LOVE Surge 2.0. As for the smoother pieces, they remind me of Ben 10 and I'm not really digging it :S The villains look sorta wierd too but very prototype-y. I hated the first wave of villains with the preliminary pics, so I wouldn't doubt they look cooler later on. This just made my day :3 I love seeing new sets. I doubt I'm getting any, though, but Surge is looking really cool this time around. It's nice to see some new heroes in the mix, too. Quote
Aethersprite Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 On second thought, I think the villains look okay. At least they have some resemblence to Bionicle. The Heroes, though... Their proportions are REALLY weird, and their heads are just crap. I don't know about you guys, but this new wave of HF is really disappointing compared to the new sets from other themes, all of which look fantastic. Taking into consideration these are preliminary, I'll wait till I decide if I'm getting any of them. Right now my money is about to go to the other themes. Quote
Leugi Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 (edited) I don't know, they don't look so bad... I for one like many bits of the villains... Drilldozer's drill actually rotates, which is good... About the heroes, my only complaint is their heads, really, they ruin the whole thing... I doubt the pieces are just one piece with 2 colors, considering the variety of positions and shapes of the armor... Of it all, the weapons seem to be buildable, which is amazing... Evo's weapon is nice, it's nice to have some trans-spears back, I ain't seen them since Frost from the robo-riders. It seems that the whole idea is not focusing on making accesories be put through technic axles but actually through those system "sticks"... Hence all the round holes on the armor... Brickthing Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Wow, those are totally different to what I had in mind for the next wave. I certainly didn't expect almost completely new pieces for the Heroes a second time in a row. I love that new aesthetic though, and I imagine they'll look extremely good once they have their physical plastic sheen. But guys, this is the 2010 Hero Factory topic. Those are from 2011. Quote
Gahrak Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Someone can upload the last episode of the series somewhere, please? Quote
Phantoka_Chirox Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Has anyone seen this pic yet? Look who's there!!! Quote
Leugi Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Hmn... someone should really try making a Von Nebula Hero moc... Quote
Aanchir Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Hmn... someone should really try making a Von Nebula Hero moc... I said that a loooong time ago. Of course, I suggested using his regular armor piece (a Zaktan foot piece) over the Hero torso, rather than the Bulk torso he uses now. And of course the non-existence of Bulk's torso in black and that spike piece in a smaller size are limiting factors. Wish the HF parts were on Digital Designer so I could simulate how I pictured him. Maybe next upgrade (although I doubt it). Quote
jala12 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 So, did anyone upload the English versions of the HF episodes cause I can't seem to find them anywhere online. Quote
Legomaster34 Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 I don't get nicktoons and I was wondering if anybody has an english recording of the Hero Factory TV show. Quote
Zennia Jorra: Toa of Slush Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Definitely would like to see the English version as well. I saw the first three episodes on Youtube in German, which doesn't help much. You know, since the fourth one is missing. And I don't speak German. Quote
jala12 Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 The fourth one is on youtube. Just search for some of the more recent Hero factory uploads that were posted. Quote
Zennia Jorra: Toa of Slush Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 The fourth one is on youtube. Just search for some of the more recent Hero factory uploads that were posted. Oh wow, thanks! xD Although it is still in German. .-. Quote
Phantoka_Chirox Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Yeah we should be getting downloads, even my local toy store's got them.. and they're in English ! Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 (edited) The Hero Factory online game is actually quite fun. Anyways, the series aired in Canada yesterday. They are actually good - I really like the action and the characterization. Except for Surge. HE KILLS THE SERIES! -ZotS Edited October 21, 2010 by Zaktan of the Shadows Quote
vexorian Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 hehe, I was browsing old threads and found this: Not the first time I see it, but it is the first time I see it after knowing HF. It is amazing those bootlegs managed to make their stuff look so much like HF, 5 years in advance... Quote
The Crazy One Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I can deny, I would like that set. Dunno why, but it appeals to me. Quote
Mesonak Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Me too; Some of those old bootlegs actually looked pretty good. -Mesonak Quote
vexorian Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Not saying it doesn't look cool. I'd like that set even though I am afraid of finding out what it really feels like in plastic. I was just mentioning how eerie it was to find that TLG seems to be going through that style direction. IMHO it is much better than Bionicle because of the smoothness. Just odd that that bootleg found out earlier. Quote
Aanchir Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Me too; Some of those old bootlegs actually looked pretty good. -Mesonak That's my favorite line of BIONICLE bootlegs because none of the smaller sets (the ones we can compare to canister sets in BIONICLE) actually feel like bootlegs. In fact, I think "bootlegs" is a pretty harsh term, since they don't try to resemble BIONICLE. You might as well call Hot Wheels a bootleg of Matchbox with that kind of reasoning-- yes, they're both trying to be the same thing, and one clearly came after the other, but there's hardly a shred of plagiarism going on. Sadly, the company that makes these figures does sink to making actual bootlegs-- while their larger sets use an entirely different set of parts than BIONICLE (many of which also appear in the smaller sets), the larger sets are blatantly based on larger BIONICLE sets like the 2003 Titan/Rahi sets. The thing that baffles me is that, since the bootlegs use a different set of pieces, they also are forced to use an entirely different structural design in many cases. If a company's willing to invest that sort of effort into part design and set design, why waste it copying an existing company's products and destroying your own company's credibility? Quote
